The City Hall serves the citizens of Belle Fourche by holding meetings that determine the future of the City. The Mayor and City Council hold City Council meetings to review and pass ordinances, approve hirings and resignations, approve payments, discuss special events and partnerships, and provide information to the public. These meetings are open to the public and always include a time for community input in which speakers are allowed a maximum of 3 minutes to discuss public business. The City Hall also holds meetings for the Airport Board, Legal-Finance Committee, Library Board, Museum Board, Planning and Zoning Commission, Police Committee, Public Works Committee, Rec Center Committee, and Technology Board. The times of these meetings can be found on the city website. They are open to the public, and they include time for community input. The City Administrator oversees the daily operations for all City departments, enforces City laws and ordinances, manages the long-range planning of the City, coordinates and communicates with other governmental agencies, serves as a liaison between City departments and the City Council, and engages with the residents of the City. City Hall is also the location of offices for Finance, City Services (water service provider, sewer and garbage), Engineering, and Human Resources.
