Provides individualized, trauma-informed coaching, mentorship, stabilization, and resource navigation for adults experiencing reentry, recovery, employment, housing, court, probation, or other significant life-transition needs. A free series of 5 weekly sessions designed to support children and their parents/caregivers who are grieving. After sharing a meal, participants are divided into groups by age; adults, adolescents and children. Children's group facilitators are masters level individuals trained to work with children. Most are school counselors or social workers. Each group session is geared to address the issues of the grieving family. One of the weeks includes a group session of art therapy. Provides support groups for survivors of domestic violence. ​Support groups include Hands are Not for Hitting and Pattern Changing Group. Hands are Not for Hitting is for children aged 6 - 12 years who have been victimized by domestic violence or sexual assault. The focus of the group is to help child victims of violence solve problems nonviolently and learn to identify and express their feelings in a healthy way. Children learn that the abuse is not their fault and they have their feelings validated. Pattern Changing Group is designed to help women who have been in abusive relationships gain confidence in themselves and learn to live healthy and abusive free lives. Child care is available for those attending group.

A seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. Each session includes a video seminar featuring top experts on grief and recovery subjects. Includes on-location video and real-life stories of people who have experienced losses like yours. After viewing the video, there is small group discussion about the video. The group also allows for the opportunity to interact with others who have experienced a loss, learn about their experiences and have the opportunity to share personal experiences related to the loss.

Support group for women who have witnessed or experienced violence in a relationship. These groups seek to provide support and feedback to women who have been emotionally, sexually, or physically abused in their relationships. Topics of discussion include: the dynamics of domestic violence, crisis issues caused by domestic violence, the impact of traumatic experiences on daily living, staying safe, self-esteem, and healthy relationships.The women's support groups are open and may be joined by anyone at any time. No pre-registration is required to attend and groups are offered free of charge.

Veteran support groups are available at both Vet Centers in Rapid City and Sioux Falls. Groups include a men's Vietnam support group, women's support group, garden group, and Project Healing Waters group. Also offers a combat and military sexual trauma support group and a service building spiritual strength group. Groups are subject to change throughout the year. Provides care packages to those families and a network of connections to others who have experienced a similar loss. A Run for Their Lives! 5K run/walk event is held annually on Mother's Day. Participate in-person in Spearfish, SD, or virtually from anywhere! This event is a great way to honor the memory of a child with a community of supporters. Also works to provide SIDS and safe-sleep awareness and education as well as funding for SIDS-related research. Operations are home-based.

Provides one-on-one support for loved ones (friends and family) of those struggling with addiction. Loved ones can engage in coaching regardless of where the person in their life is on the addiction journey (actively using, in treatment, or anywhere in between). Coaching sessions focus on helping loved ones understand addiction, reduce conflict, improve communication, strengthen well-being, establish healthy boundaries and motivate others towards change.

A zoom-based monthly meeting that welcomes survivors of brain injury (traumatic injury, acquired injury, neurological illness). The focus of the meeting is to allow all members to socialize with others, share resources, and offer support to one another. This group is facilitated by a speech pathologist but no formal therapy services are conducted.

Support groups for people impacted by mental illness diagnoses led by trained facilitators of people with lived experiences. Group members help each other by sharing their lived experiences and learned wisdom. There is also a support group for family members for people with a mental illness.

Trained peer or professionally led groups for caregivers and others dealing with Alzheimer's disease. Many locations offer specialized groups for children, individuals with younger-onset and early-stage Alzheimer's, adult caregivers and others with specific needs.
