A 12-step program designed to help relatives and friends of addicts recover from the effects of living with an addicted relative or friend. Nar-Anon's program of recovery uses Nar-Anon's Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions. The only requirement to be a member and attend Nar-Anon meetings is that there is a problem of drugs or addiction in a relative or friend. The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is a national nonprofit, self-help support organization offering friendship, understanding, and hope to families grieving the death of a child of any age, from any cause. There is no religious affiliation and no individual membership fees or dues are charged. All bereaved family members are welcome. Founded in England in 1969, TCF was established in the United States in 1972, with 501(c)(3) not-for-profit incorporation in 1978, under which provision the organization's more than 650 local chapters also operate. TCF operates as separate entities in at least 30 countries around the world. Regular meetings of local chapters provide a caring environment in which bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents can work through their grief with the help of others who have been there. Monthly, more than 17,000 attend chapter meetings. Outreach is provided to more than 182,000 bereaved family members and professionals each month through chapter newsletters, websites, Facebook Pages, special programs including regional conferences, concurrent walks, phone calls, letters, e-mails, and personal visits. Educational information on grief following the death of a child and the work of TCF is provided to the community through publicity, speaking engagements, and the distribution of materials. Virtual chapters through an Online Support Community supply support, encouragement, and friendship. There are general bereavement sessions as well as more specific sessions. This program was established to encourage connecting and sharing among parents, grandparents, and siblings (over the age of 18) grieving the death of a child.

Offering chronic disease management programs free of charge to all South Dakotans ages 18 and over. Conditions worked with include chronic disease, pain, diabetes, cancer, worksite wellness, physical activity, aging well and the Building Better Caregivers program.

A domestic violence shelter that offers a 24-hour crisis line for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Other services include support groups, court advocacy, shelter for victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking along with their children, crisis counseling, rape crisis services, protection orders, supervised visitation, neutral exchanges, food pantry, Common Sense Parenting and Birth to Three Responsive Parenting classes, and life skills training.

Community-based counseling center that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional readjustment counseling to eligible Veterans, active duty service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Bereavement services for family members is also available. Readjustment counseling is offered to make a successful transition from military to civilian life or after a traumatic event experienced in the military. Individual, group, couples, and family counseling is offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services.

Provides faith-based support for those struggling with substance use or addiction. Offers spirituality based transitional living (room for 26 men in an 8 - 12 month length of stay), 12-step programming, one-on-one mentoring, prayer and medication, speakers, and spiritual advisors.

Families of infants through preschoolers with Down Syndrome are welcome to take part in a private online community and regularly scheduled meetups, including a monthly "Big Event."

The Native Healing Program utilizes the traditional Native American life ways as a method of healing the spirit. Also, provides Codependency Workshops, 12 hour DUI class, substance abuse treatment needs assessments, and talking circle. Fully accredited with State of South Dakota for outpatient services. A non-profit, volunteer, peer support group for people with any type of addictive behavior at all stages of change-including those pursuing harm reduction or abstinence. SMART meetings include group discussions that help individuals with motivation, urges, thoughts and behaviors, and creating a balanced life. The SMART program is a secular, science-based approach to addictive behavior of any kind.

Provides a social opportunity for caregivers and their loved ones with memory loss to come together to enjoy camaraderie with others in a similar situation, without the common pressures of everyday life with dementia. Includes an interactive program, refreshments, occasional entertainment and resources.

Independent Living Skills: Provides hands-on training in daily-living skills including cooking, budgeting, organizing, and more. Transition: Facilitates the transition of individuals with disabilities from a nursing home to independent living; providing prevention services to individuals who choose to live independently and not in a nursing home or assisted-living setting; and assisting youth to gain skills as they transition into adulthood. Community Living Services: Assists individuals in obtaining accessible, affordable housing, transportation, and other community living services. Home Modifications Adaptive Devices: Provides home modifications and adaptive devices, which could include ramps, lift chairs, bathroom modifications, reachers, canes, walkers and more. Telecommunication Adaptive Devices: Provides adapted telecommunication services, which includes an emergency phone dialer. American's with Disabilities Act: Serves as educators and consultants for contractors, businesses, organizations, and individuals regarding the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its guidelines and requirements. Assistive Daily Living Services: Provides services for people ages 18 and older, with physical disabilities affecting all four limbs, who need assistance with daily living activities. Services include program education and support and personal attendant services. Home Again South Dakota: Provides options for older adults and/or people with disabilities living in nursing homes, hospitals, or long-term care facilities to enable them to successfully return to their homes and communities. Helps individuals identify barriers to living on their own, helps them find a place to live that meets their needs, and helps them find the services and supports they need to continue living independently.

A long-term (up to 24 months) shelter for victims of human trafficking. Victims must be willing to stay at least 6 months. Pathfinder Center is not an emergency short-term shelter. Mission is to provide a place of refuge for victims of human trafficking from all over South Dakota. Safety - Women have stable, safe housing and protection from traffickers. They become part of a healthy, safe community of support that provides compassionate assistance while they address pressing legal, medical and emotional needs. Services and Support - Women receive addiction counseling, job skills/GED classes, emergency counseling and transportation. Services wil also include a crisis hotline, clothing, food and hygiene items. Self Development - Women learn life skills such as communication, conflict resolution, understanding boundaries, understanding trafficking and trauma, and making safe choices to help them live independent lives. Cannot accept anyone who is still using drugs or alcohol. If the victim is still using substances/has addiction issues, they must attend treatment prior to receiving services.

Clutterers Anonymous (CLA) is a 12-Step program modeled after Alcoholics Anonymous, where individuals share their experience, strength, and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem with clutter and help each other to recover. CLA is self-supporting through individual members' voluntary contributions, neither soliciting nor accepting outside donations. CLA is not affiliated with any public or private organization, political movement, ideology, or religious doctrine.
