South Dakota residents upon reaching their 100th birthday can receive a framed and matted certificate recognizing this milestone in their life. There is a celebration each July that acknowledges the oldest century club members. At the beginning of each month, KELOLAND Media Group airs the current birthdays during the Mid-Day News. Must apply to receive certificate and to become a member.

Facility for seniors to gather and socialize. A recreational facility where adults, 50 and over, can share in activities and services. All eligible seniors are encouraged to check out the opportunities and become members and participants. The hall can be used for all kind of receptions; including birthdays, fellowship, meetings, small family reunions and showers.

The Hill City Senior Citizens organization assists senior citizens in helping themselves and promotes becoming part of the community. Provides services focused on administering comfort, relief, support, and nursing care for aging individuals. ​Sun Dial Manor is a 37-bed nursing home that offers long-term care or short-term rehab. Johnson Center Assisted Living is a 14-bed center attached to the nursing home.

Provides educational classes, musical entertainment, educational and entertainment programs, movies, card games, pool games, various craft activities, health education, holiday and membership parties, hosts community events, office and meeting room rental space, monthly potlucks, exercise rooms, and volunteer opportunities.

Provides a safe and welcoming place where friendship, activity and lifelong learning come together. Offers programs and services to adults age 50 and older to stay active, connected, and engaged in the community. These programs are centered around a wellness model that supports health aging: "Active Model" which encourages physical health through fitness programs. Provides social activities, informational events, health care programs, recreational occasions, volunteer opportunities, and facility rental space. Members are mailed a newsletter each month highlighting activities and events.

Members of the Pierre Senior Center enjoy friendship through weekly potlucks which include entertainment from musicians and speakers, Tuesday rolls & coffee, pool, bingo, and cards. The building is used by AARP for income tax preparation for seniors and low-income families/individuals. Flu shot clinics are held here. The facility can be rented for events such as receptions, banquets, meetings, family gatherings, etc. Seats up to 150 with 8 per table. Bus trips are offered two - three times per year.
