Facilitate inclusive arts events such as open mics, concerts, exhibitions, workshops, parties, film creation, social gatherings, and artists community building. There is an planning committee called Hope of Dreams, a group of members with disabilities that plan events and projects.

Senior center programs include social activities, informational events, health care programs, and facility rental space. Volunteers within the Aberdak Senior Group coordinate the various programs, including, recreational occasions and volunteer opportunities. Members are mailed a newsletter each month highlighting activities and events.

Committed to bringing arts education and enjoyment in its many facets: literature and poetry, dance, theater and music, to the Clay County region. By maintaining stewardship of the historic Washington Street Arts Center, the VAAC provides a home to support artists and students, and welcome area community. Mosaic Arts and Events (formerly known as Museum of Visual Materials) is an historic and LEED Platinum Green Building.
