Provides immediate shelter and crisis intervention services to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, human trafficking, and child abuse and neglect. Immediate shelter services are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Trained staff is on-site to assist with the needs of anyone with safety issues seeking shelter. Case management, counseling, advocacy, support groups, parenting groups, and activities for children are offered and provided. Meals are provided and personal care items and clothing are available as needed at no cost to the client. Crisis intervention services include crisis phone, crisis drop-in counseling, support groups, parenting classes, 911 phones to public, safety planning, referrals to community resources, assistance with filling out protection orders, and court advocacy. Applications available to help victims of crime apply for victims compensation. Individual, child and family counseling is available to victims of abuse. Public education presentations are available upon request.

Provides residential treatment, foster care, special education schooling and independent living services to South Dakota children between the ages of 7 and 23. Program offers an array of therapeutic services in Mitchell and Rapid City including 45 bed psychiatric residential treatment facility for girls ages 7 to 17 (housed in Mitchell), Evidenced Based Trauma Informed programming, special education schooling, individual therapy, group therapy, alcohol and drug treatment, and independent living skills. Also houses The Bridges Therapeutic Foster Care program for children from birth up to age 18 (Homes in Mitchell, Rapid City, and Sioux Falls) and the Independent Living Program for young adults between the ages of 18 - 23 (Apartments are located in Mitchell and Rapid City).

The CWOY Support Navigator program is designed to provide support for American Indian youth, adults, and their families in the He Sapa area who struggle with suicidal thoughts or behaviors. CWOY Support Navigators act as mentors, advocates, and resource guides for American Indian youth, adults, and families needing support for their healing and personal growth. Elementary School Program: Shows students the relationship between what they learn now and how it will impact their success later in life. This supplement to regular grade school curriculum is presented by a volunteer in five 30-45 minute sessions. Middle and High School Programs: Build on concepts learned in elementary programs; supplement standard social studies curriculum; help students make informed, intelligent decisions about how to prepare for educational, professional and financial futures; help students develop communication skills essential to the business world; and teach students about micro- and macro-economics as well as standard business practices.

Provides shelter, case management, life skills, and education services to young people ages 16 to 21, who are preparing for independent living. The program provides young people with a safe, supportive environment while they learn the skills necessary to succeed on their own. The VOA Axis180 offers safe, affordable shelter, life skills education and training, interpersonal skill building, education completion, job preparation skills, mental and physical health care, and case management. 2-bedroom units available for youth who are parenting. ​The goal of the VOA Axis180 is to assist homeless young people in making a successful transition to self sufficiency, prevent long-term dependency on the social services system, and provide an option for older youth who need assistance in transitioning into adulthood.
