Crisis intervention, assessments, counseling, and case management services that help young people and their families overcome challenges and pave the way for an improved quality of life. Provides support to individuals suffering from mental health issues, alcohol and drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and crime victimization. Support is also provided to individuals struggling with personality development and relationship issues. Carroll Counseling Services is comprised of a team of credentialed mental health professionals committed to offering safe and confidential services as individuals engage in their own therapeutic journey. Provides individual, couples, and family services for those experiencing personal, relational, and psychological issues. Walk-in substance use assessments and telehealth services available.

Individual and couples mental health and chemical dependency counseling to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of issues including, but not limited to; depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), physical and or sexual abuse, trauma, chemical dependency and other addictions, co-occurring disorders, family issues, behavioral issues, relationship issues, sexual identity, adjustment disorders, career issues, adoption issues, attachment issues, personality disorders, stress management, women's issues, eating disorders, post traumatic stress (PTSD), and crisis prevention. Offers EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Telehealth sessions available. Also an LGBTQ+ friendly provider.

Outpatient Services - Individual therapy (for mental health or substance use), Family therapy, Group therapy, Medication management, Psychological assessments and testing, Commitment evaluations, Nursing home consultations, and 24-hour a day crisis intervention via crisis line. Walk in assessments available during regular business hours at the Yankton and Vermillion locations. CARE Club - Program for individuals with a mental health disability (i.e. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety and borderline personality) who live in the community. CARE club provides support, assistance, interaction with others and the opportunity to improve consumers existing skills and develop new coping skills. Children's Services - Provides child centered therapeutic services in the home or office. This program provides mental health services to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Works closely with child-serving agencies and programs.

Covering topics such as abuse and/or sexual abuse, anger management, anxiety, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), depression, emotion and behavior regulation for children, grief and loss, life transition and adjustment issues, marriage and family issues, post traumatic stress (PTSD), relational violence/abuse, self-esteem, stress management, suicide intervention/crisis stabilization, teen problems, wellness counseling, and women's issues. Offers telehealth services. Family Pathways (Family Outreach Services) counselors providing intensive counseling and support services for children in community locations such as home or school. Mental health counseling uniquely tailored to meet each client's needs in a safe, non-judgmental environment. A variety of methods are used for treatment including EMDR, IFS, CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Adlerian Therapy. Trauma informed care is provided for adolescents, adults, individuals, couples and families working through anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relational trauma as well as other issues that occur throughout life. In-person sessions are available in the Spearfish office, or statewide via telehealth. Behavioral Health Services available from licensed substance abuse and mental health counselors. ​Services include: chemical dependency assessments and Level 1.0 counseling, individual, couples, and family behavioral health counseling, Medication Assisted Therapy (MAT) for patients recovering from substance use disorders, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Therapy, and psychiatry team availability. Transportation is available for current patients if needed.

Mental Health services include individual, couples and family counseling, 24-hour QMHP services, psychiatric evaluations and medication management, school consultations, and employee assistance programs (EAP). Alcohol and Drug Program treatment approach is based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous and reality therapy. Case Management and IMPACT Programs, designed to help clients with severe and persistent mental illness, services include case management and continued care, medication management with psychiatrist, crisis intervention assistance, and psychiatric rehabilitation which seeks to provide program services that assist clients in developing skills and manage resources needed to allow them to be successful in the community. A client centered, client directed form of treatment, the program consists of services designed to restore the disabled person to a level of functioning which permits a useful, meaningful life.

Provides Medication-Assisted Treatment (Suboxone, Naloxone, Vivitrol) addressing opioid, alcohol, heroin, and methamphetamine addictions. Physically located in Rapid City, SD, but providing services anywhere in South Dakota via Telemedicine. ​​Medication assisted treatment is the use of FDA-approved medications in combination with counseling and other therapies to provide a whole-patient approach to treatment for substance use disorders (SUD). Other services include MAT services, HIV/HCV screenings, lab work, pregnancy tests, specialty and primary care referrals; Medication assistance programs, and Patient advocacy & resource connection. Provides mental health counseling services with areas of advanced specialty training in Autism/High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder (hfASD), transgender/gender diverse (T/GD) healthcare, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety, depression, and spirituality. Also provides education in T/GD care for the Sanford School of Medicine, regional healthcare systems, businesses, and professional organizations. National mentor for mental health providers working toward the specialty credential in T/GD healthcare. Counseling is available by telehealth only. Clients can access the HIPAA-compliant video portal via phone, tablet, or computer. No special software is required.

A private, non-profit, community-based human services agency service. Individual, couples, and family therapy for the treatment of various adjustment problems and psychological disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. Special areas of expertise include: pain management, stress management, complicated grief and loss, spirituality issues, parenting adult children, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, parent education, abuse, eating disorders, marital infidelity issues, substance abuse issues, immigration adjustment concerns, and culturally relevant services. Individuals, couples, or families can receive specialized treatment for co-occurring issues of substance abuse/addictive disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions such as clinical depression, mood disorders and/or anxiety-based difficulties. Adult group programming for intensive outpatient treatment, early intervention, relapse prevention. Day and evening tracks are available for intensive outpatient treatment. Court-approved provider for chemical dependency assessments, counseling and treatment services. Adolescents can be seen for chemical dependency evaluations, individual therapy and aftercare group. ​Specialized counseling services available (individual, couples, family and group therapy) for pain management-related difficulties. Dual-credentialed therapists licensed in mental health and addictions. Telemedicine counseling services including CD assessments and individual therapy. Anyone can participate in this service. Accredited by the State of South Dakota as well as by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).

Offers outpatient counseling services for individual, couple, and families. Staff members work with the client to provide services in the home, community, or office at the discretion of the client. Substance use evaluation, assessment, and treatment is also provided. Walk in assessments and telehealth services are available during normal business hours at the Aberdeen location. Psychiatric services are also available to those over the age of 18 including assessments and medication management.
