Utilizes a cadre of 40 victim advocates to assist in creating and maintaining a climate of respect and dignity.

In-Shelter or Out-of-Shelter services provided to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their families, so they can make decisions about their lives in a supportive, non-judgmental and empowering atmosphere. Ongoing advocacy is provided and assistance with obtaining resources to seek, or rebuild, a new and safe life. Provides courtroom advocacy, assist with protection orders, can provide interpretive services, and safety planning, and can assist with supplies for day-to-day living and setting up a new household. Children are welcome. Assistance with transportation needs can be addressed. Shelter can accommodate nine adults and several children.

Services are also available for the family and friends affected by the incident as well. The program provides services at hospital emergency rooms, child assessment centers, through a telephone crisis line, and through the judicial system. Follow-up professional counseling is made available at no charge through The Compass Center.
