Adolescent Substance Use and Mental Health Services | Southeastern Behavioral Healthcare

Intensive, non-residential treatment program providing services to children who meet the states' Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) criteria and would not be successful in less restrictive services. Also provides services to their families. Incorporating counseling, case management, and family support services, with the goal of assisting in the development of a nurturing and stable family environment in which children may grow. A counselor along with family, individuals supporting the family, and professionals will develop a customized treatment plan which will assist in meeting the needs of the child and family. Services provided to program participants include 24-hour crisis assistance, counseling services, chemical dependency screenings and assessments, case management, dedication management, psychiatric services, classes and workshops on mental health topics, early childhood mental health services, and play therapy for children ages 0 to 5. Some therapies offered in this program include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and Aggression Replacement Therapy (ART).

Acute Program | Human Services Center

Provides for initial assessment and stabilization of adult psychiatric patients. During the 12-15 day average length of stay, the program initiates and develops treatment and discharge plans. The program promotes and facilitates the patients independent functioning in daily activities. Emphasis is on providing care, treatment and rehabilitation services that will enable the patients to return to and function in the community at the earliest possible time. The Acute Program is Medicare approved by the Health Care Financing Administration. The Intensive Treatment Unit is available for adults and adolescents who require short term intensive monitoring.

Geriatric Program | Human Services Center

​Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services of medical and psychiatric natures to persons with physical conditions requiring nursing home care and psychiatric conditions requiring in-patient hospitalization. Services are delivered in such a way as to allow the patients maximum opportunity to function as independently as possible in activities of daily living. The goal is for the patients to reside in the least restrictive environment, including return to an appropriate community setting. This program operates with 3 units located in Spruce Terrace and Willow Terrace I buildings.
