​United Way has collaborated with a panel that includes medical professionals, educators, social workers, and mental health specialists on anxiety, depression, and psychological well-being to develop activities to build resilience, by fostering safety, connections, and confidence in the lives of children and young adults. The program provides a new framework for mental health including training, guidance, and tools to address mental health needs and crisis intervention, and works with the Lost and Found organization to present and distribute information. This program is for parents, teachers, neighbors and other trusted adults who are involved with children and young people.

The WPRC seeks to divert or delay those we serve from substance use and other high-risk behaviors to promote choices/behaviors resulting in lifelong mind and body wellness. The WPRC primarily focuses prevention support services to stakeholders in South Dakota's 22 westernmost counties, but often serves an even broader audience. The WPRC's services include providing education, technical assistance, training and other support to prevention service providers, youth, parents, educators, community groups, social service providers, health/wellness agencies, chemical dependency service providers, law enforcement and other community wellness stakeholders. WPRC staff can provide community education and information on a broad range of prevention topics. Mental Health First Aid is an evidence-based, early-intervention course that teaches participants about mental health and substance use challenges. SDSU Extension provides Mental Health First Aid courses to adults, teens, and youth.

​A proprietary 3-tiered suicide prevention training model that can be adapted for any occupation. Tailoring training to the audience ensures that the content is directly relevant to their needs, job roles, and challenges. This relevance increases engagement and the likelihood of participants applying what they've learned.

Outpatient, voluntary walk-in center for youth in middle and high school who are in crisis or considering suicide. It provides Screenings / Assessments, Observation, De-escalation / Stabilization, and Referrals to appropriate services. The SEPRC works with others across the state to provide prevention resources, training and technical assistance through program development and training. Offers a 12-hour diversion class for individuals aged 17 - 20 years, designed for individuals who may be making high-risk choices and aim to change drinking and drug use behaviors.

 Provides evidence-based information about attention deficit / hyperactive disorder (ADD/ADHD) to parents, educators, professionals, the media, and the general public through a National Resource Center. Horizon Health - Yankton Medical offers Medical care (behavioral health, geriatric, chronic care management, DOT physicals, physical exams, family medicine, maternal health, family planning, sexually-transmitted disease testing, nursing, health education, immunizations, preventative services, well child exams, acute care, immunizations, lab/x-ray, and women's health). Also offers Certified Application Counselors for the Health Insurance Marketplace. Horizon Health - Yankton Dental offers dental care services include cleanings, dental exams, bridges, crowns, dentures, digital x-rays, emergencies, extractions, fillings, mouth guards, partials, root canals, sealants and spacers.
