Bringing Books Home: Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - in partnership with the Watertown Regional Library, Watertown Area United Way proudly offers the Dolly Parton Imagination Library to children in Codington County. Through this program, registered children receive a free, high-quality book every month, delivered directly to their home-at no cost to families. Each book is carefully selected by the Blue Ribbon Book Selection Committee, a panel of early childhood literacy experts dedicated to inspiring a love of reading from the very start.

Sends age appropriate books out to participating children, at no cost, once a month until they reach 5 years of age.

Serves 8 community partners throughout South Dakota including shelters and 2 Children's Home locations. Through various partners and promotions, including Carters and Scholastic, pajamas and books are donated and distributed to children in need. *Please note, this program is not able to furnish individuals/families with new pajamas or books directly.

Fundraising for programs that emphasize areas of education, financial stability and health in Lake, Miner and Moody counties. Focusing on the building blocks for a good life and a strong community. Services include: information on community events, information on community resources, information on volunteer opportunities, grants for community non-profits, Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, and Dakota Smiles Dental Program.

United Way & Volunteer Services of Greater Yankton connects with community needs through various needs including but not limited to Day of Caring, Toys for Kids, Big Friend Little Friend, Big Red Bookshelf, Imagination Library, and more.

Supporting the community of Vermillion through information on community events, information on community resources, including volunteering, grants for community non-profits, and Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Accepts donations of clothing, books, kitchen items, and furniture.

Offers the following: books, audio books, movies, music CDs, library tours, meeting rooms, art displays, consumer information, auto repair information, tax forms, electronic databases, WIFI, free computer use, interlibrary loan service from other libraries, downloadable audio books and e-books, downloadable magazines, self-service checkout, and books delivered to the homebound and to senior care facilities. ​Programming and services for children including library materials and play spaces, story time programs, Lego Club, summer reading programs, special events, daycare delivery service, and outreach to local schools and child care centers. ​Weekly programming for Grades 7-12 including gaming, trivia, movies, and more. ​Adult programming that include book discussions, adult reading programs, educational and cultural speakers, events, and classes. ​Special collections include the Marge Tauber South Dakota Room (South Dakota and Watertown historical), genealogical books, large print books, Children's Educational kits, and Book Club Tubs.
