Library provides materials, programs and services to residents of all ages in Freeman and the surrounding community to assist in their pursuit of information and resources to meet their educational, professional and personal needs. Particular emphasis is placed on delivering quality reference services and providing popular materials of high interest to the residents of the Freeman community. The library also serves to stimulate young children's interest and appreciation for reading and writing.
This location also offers Driver's License and ID card renewal for currently license holders. Written or driving tests not offered.

Operating public transit in Butte, Lawrence, Meade, Custer, Fall River, Harding, parts of Pennington County, and Perkins Counties with service from these counties into Rapid City. FlixBus ticket, freight agent and local depot in Spearfish.
Vehicles are lift/ramp equipped and meet ADA standards. All the drivers are trained and certified as Passenger Service and Safety drivers by the national transit association and are CPR trained.
700 square foot conference room available for rental.

Wylie Park and Storybook Land is one of the primer parks in the region. It includes 2 campgrounds, Miniature golf, go-karts, picnic facilities and bike and skate rentals. At Storybook Land families enjoy a world of imagination inspired by nursery rhymes and featuring the Land of Oz. Also enjoy a ride on the Train, Carousel, Balloon Ride and Roller Coaster.
The Recreation Division provides recreational activities year round for all ages including youth ball leagues, youth & adult tennis lessons and leagues, skating lessons, open gyms, recreational skating, cross country ski lessons, and adult basketball and volleyball leagues. Many special events are offered including Family Fun Weekend, Tennis Tournaments, Storybook Land Festival, Winterfest and Holiday Celebration just to name a few. The YAPAtorium Teen Center provides many activities for teens.

The Strode Center and Aberdeen Dome are facilities available for public use and provides a weight room. These facilities can be used for a daily fee, a 10 use punch card, or with a monthly membership.
Lee Park Golf Course is an 18 hole public course which provides lessons and leagues.
Melgaard Park Disc Golf Course is a 9 hole public course.
