Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation operates the Midco® Aquatic Center and eight other facilities, including three family aquatic centers, two neighborhood aquatic facilities, three spray parks, and two wading pools. Open swim at aquatic facilities is 1:00pm - 5:00pm and 6:30pm - 8:00pm daily. Children 6 years old and younger must be supervised by someone at least 16. The ratio of children 6 and younger must not exceed five per adult. Spray parks are open 11:00am - 8:00pm. Swim passes are available to buy or renew. Swim passes may be used at any of the following aquatic facilities when open: Drake Springs Family Aquatic Center, daily admission or swim pass Frank Olson Pool, daily admission or swim pass Hayward Park Splash Pad, free Kuehn Park Pool, daily admission or swim pass Laurel Oak Family Aquatic Center, daily admission or swim pass Midco® Aquatic Center, daily admission or swim pass McKennan Park Wading Pool, free Pioneer Spray Park, free T. Courses are divided into six levels, starting with Level 1 for children aged 5 and older who are comfortable standing in three feet of water without support. Please note that successful demonstration of skills from the preceding level is a prerequisite for all levels except Level 1.

The Performing Arts Theater is located within the Community Center and has a 442 seating capacity. The theater hosts special events, conventions, seminars, concerts, and plays. Christmas Trees: Christmas tree drop-off point for Yankton residents at the parking lot west of the Riverside Park baseball stadium. Christmas trees can also be taken to the Yankton Transfer Station during regular business hours. The Christmas tree drop-off point and the Transfer Station will start accepting trees beginning after December 26. A one-time residential, front curb, pick-up date will be determined in December. Residents can pay city-owned utility bills and BeresfordTel bills, apply for utilities, apply for internet, telephone, and cable, register to vote or update voter registration, pursue building permits, register for dog tag licenses, and purchase pool passes. City Hall also offers a public notary service. The mayor and city council make decisions about the future of the city, act as a board of the local utilities, act as a board of the equalization on property taxes, and make ordinances and regulations. Beresford City Council meets twice a month at City Hall. These meetings are open to the public. If an individual wants to address the council, they should call city hall or email the city administrator. The functions of the City Administrator vary between municipalities, but they generally include overseeing city departments, coordinating between city government departments, and engaging with residents of the city. The Finance Officer oversees all aspects of the City's finances.
