Fall leaf and small branch drop: Saturday, September 20, 2025 - Sunday, November 30, 2025 - West Side of Sioux Falls: - 100 N. Lyon Boulevard (East side of Lyon Boulevard, across from Billion Chevrolet). Access is available: From W. 12th Street to N. Lyon Boulevard From W. Madison Street to N. Lyon Boulevard - East Side of Sioux Falls: - 1015 E. Chambers Street: (West of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility). Access is available:From N. Cliff Avenue to Chambers Street. The driveway just west of the Household Hazardous Waste Facility will be the only access point. The cost is free for cars, pickups, full-size SUVs, vans, or two-wheel trailers. Lawn service companies, and commercial businesses will not be accepted at the temporary drop-off site and must go directly to the Sioux Falls Regional Sanitary Landfill. Branches must be placed in a pile separate from leaves. Leaves must be removed from plastic bags. All loads must be tarped or in an enclosed vehicle. Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation operates the Midco® Aquatic Center and eight other facilities, including three family aquatic centers, two neighborhood aquatic facilities, three spray parks, and two wading pools. Open swim at aquatic facilities is 1:00pm - 5:00pm and 6:30pm - 8:00pm daily. Children 6 years old and younger must be supervised by someone at least 16. The ratio of children 6 and younger must not exceed five per adult. Spray parks are open 11:00am - 8:00pm. Swim passes are available to buy or renew. Christmas Trees: Christmas tree drop-off point for Yankton residents at the parking lot west of the Riverside Park baseball stadium. Christmas trees can also be taken to the Yankton Transfer Station during regular business hours. The Christmas tree drop-off point and the Transfer Station will start accepting trees beginning after December 26. A one-time residential, front curb, pick-up date will be determined in December. City Wide Cleanup: Spring cleaning opportunity, front curb pickup, for residents on the city garbage routes for tree branches, wood products, metal items, and concrete.
