Emergency Management | Union County

Coordinates all agencies within the jurisdiction to include public, private, and non-governmental organizations to ensure the protection of life and property in the event of threatened or actual natural disasters, terrorism, technological, and man-made events. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining the county plan for reacting to emergencies. During an actual emergency, the director coordinates the action and trains other agencies to respond to emergencies. Auditor and Welfare | Kingsbury County

The County Auditor as the clerk of the County Commission is required to keep records of commission proceedings. The Auditor's fiscal duties include conducting a monthly verification of all bank balances and cash items in the County Treasurer's Office and making a report of the same to the Commission, preparing warrants for all disbursements, publishing an annual report of the receipts and disbursements as well as the assets and liabilities of the County, and keeping inventory of County property. Based on eligibility guidelines, Welfare services include medical assistance and burial and funeral assistance.
