Community Fund Grant Program | Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation

Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation (SFACF) serves the communities of Minnehaha, Lincoln, Turner, and McCook counties. It helps people who want to do something good for the Sioux Falls area do it. SFACF invests and grows endowments that are used to make grants to important social, cultural and educational initiatives, provide scholarships to deserving young people, and support the activities of over 200 local nonprofits. Our most visionary fund, grants from the Community Fund are available to organizations in the Sioux Falls area seeking support for new ways to address community needs, expand successful programming, or build capacity. Grants are also considered for agencies undergoing a unique financial crisis or conducting community-wide studies.

Komen Breast Care Helpline | Susan G. Komen

Provides answers to questions about breast cancer risk; information about breast cancer screening, treatment options, clinical trials, and genetic counseling and testing; access to no-cost screening mammograms and diagnostic services; financial assistance for income-eligible breast cancer patient in treatment; emotional support; connection to a culturally responsible patient navigator; and connects individuals to national and local organizations that may provide financial assistance and other support services.

Grants and Scholarship Program | Sioux Falls Area Community Foundation

Grants from the Community Fund are available to organizations in the Sioux Falls area seeking support for new ways to address community needs, expand successful programming, or build capacity. Grants are also considered for agencies undergoing a unique financial crisis or conducting community-wide studies. Scholarship Program - For those wrapping up a general equivalency diploma, graduating from high school, or working toward a graduate degree, SFACF offers a wide variety of competitive scholarship awards to help people achieve their goals. Applications are available annually on December 15. Most are due March 15.

EveryDay Strong - United Way of the Black Hills | United Way of the Black Hills

​United Way has collaborated with a panel that includes medical professionals, educators, social workers, and mental health specialists on anxiety, depression, and psychological well-being to develop activities to build resilience, by fostering safety, connections, and confidence in the lives of children and young adults. The program provides a new framework for mental health including training, guidance, and tools to address mental health needs and crisis intervention, and works with the Lost and Found organization to present and distribute information. This program is for parents, teachers, neighbors and other trusted adults who are involved with children and young people.

The Castle of Care Specialists Our leading team of greater than 135 pediatric specialists focus on providing clinical services, advocacy, research and education to advance and ensure Sanford Children's Hospital provides the latest in care and services to every child we treat. Children's Miracle Network is dedicated to serving sick and injured children. 100% of the funds raised locally stay local to help sick and injured children up to 18 years of age in eastern South Dakota, southwest Minnesota, northwest Iowa, and northern Nebraska. Funds raised provide direct assistance with meals, lodging, mileage, special formulas, and medications not covered by insurance. Funds also help to enhance programs and services, and purchase the most advanced life-saving medical equipment for use at Sanford Children's Hospital.
