Constructs and maintains surface transportation systems that support economic viability, promotes safe travel, and add esthetically to the community. These divisions are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of streets and traffic control measures as well as maintaining the Precision Approach Path Indicator system for the Chan Gurney Airport.
The Engineering Department is responsible for the design, review, and managing infrastructure projects, review and approve plats and subdivision, planning and zoning, development and revision of City maps, and flood plain boundaries.
