Streets and Buildings: snow removal, street sweeping, street lighting, traffic control devices, GIS, city building and equipment maintenance
Wastewater: wastewater treatment, storm water drainage, irrigation, and sewer line maintenance
Sanitation: residential and commercial garbage service, restricted use rubble site, recycling program, curbside pick up service
Special events: city-wide clean up, traffic control, and engineering and contract administration for capital and public improvements
Rubble Site: See the Authorized Solid Waste page for information about what items can be taken to the Rubble Site. Many items can be taken to the Rubble Site free of charge (within a standard pickup truck-sized load) with a copy of a current Sturgis utility bill (see the Sanitation Policy for information); including batteries, tires (for a fee), leaves, branches, Christmas trees, etc. Please refer to the Fee Schedule for more details and pricing. The City of Sturgis Rubble Site is classified as restricted use. Certain items may not be accepted at a restricted-use rubble site. Please see the Unauthorized Solid Waste page for more details.
