• Emergency Rental Assistance

Must be behind (i.e.: if rent is due on the 5th, come for assistance after the 5th). Eviction notice is not required, however, there will be a form the landlord needs to complete the verify rent is past due.

Must be behind AND have disconnection notice. Employment Program Food Vouchers Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Public Transportation Pass Program

The Disaster Distress Helpline is a hotline dedicated to providing year-round disaster crisis counseling. This crisis support service is for anyone experiencing emotional distress related to disasters such as: tornados or severe storms, hurricanes and tropical storms, floods, wildfires, earthquakes, drought, incidents of mass violence, and anniversaries of triggered events.

Sheltering, feeding sites, distribution of goods, and casework in a time of disaster. In times of disaster, sometimes, flood kits are available. Is a member of SD VOAD Agencies (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters).

Outpatient Services - Individual therapy (for mental health or substance use), Family therapy, Group therapy, Medication management, Psychological assessments and testing, Commitment evaluations, Nursing home consultations, and 24-hour a day crisis intervention via crisis line. Walk in assessments available during regular business hours at the Yankton and Vermillion locations. CARE Club - Program for individuals with a mental health disability (i.e. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety and borderline personality) who live in the community. CARE club provides support, assistance, interaction with others and the opportunity to improve consumers existing skills and develop new coping skills. Children's Services - Provides child centered therapeutic services in the home or office. This program provides mental health services to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Works closely with child-serving agencies and programs.

Assists with the coordination of state and local government in preparation, mitigation, response and recovery from damages sustained by national security emergency or disaster events to protect lives and property.

Provides information and assistance to the Faulk County Commission, to municipalities, and individuals on matters pertaining to response, recovery, mitigation, preparedness and other Emergency Management issues.
