The City of Sioux Falls does not have any community/public storm shelters. Those who do not have basements are advised to plan ahead to find appropriate safe locations. Once a warning has been issued, it is better to shelter in place. Take shelter at the lowest level possible, in the smallest, innermost room. The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Works closely with child-serving agencies and programs.
