The Lions Club assists individuals who are blind and helps with community education for the prevention of blindness. Sight and blindness are main areas of emphasis. Also active in area of diabetes education and fundraising for different groups. The group also offers screenings for vision to preschool children at no charge. Works with schools, daycares, and health care events.

Vermillion Lions Club collects used eyeglasses and hearing aids as well as provide financial support for both sight and hearing needs (a qualification form needs to be completed).
