Resources, programs, and services available at Mitchell Public Library include - books (physical, eBooks, and audiobooks) for readers of all ages; digital magazines; Spanish language materials; movies; board games; magazine, journal, and newspaper databases; various subject databases; practice exams for a variety of pursuits; programming for children, teens, and adults; summer reading programs; interlibrary loan services; free computer use; free Wi-Fi; mobile printing; 3D printing; community meeting rooms; and used book sales.

Services provided are children's reading programs, Free Wi-Fi, public access computers/tools, large print materials, audiobooks, videos, newspapers, magazines, Libby/Overdrive program, and Faxes, copies, printing, and scanning available (free will offering suggested).

The Piedmont Valley Library offers full library service to residents of the Piedmont Valley. In addition to books and DVD movies for all ages, the library offers downloadable eBooks and audiobooks, story times, summer reading programs, a genealogy group, a book discussion group, access to multiple online databases, art exhibits, classes, and guest speakers. A self-serve satellite branch is located within the Summerset City Hall. Items may be borrowed and returned at either location.

​ The James Valley Community Center (JVCC) is a multi-generational community focal point for services and programs in the Mitchell and surrounding areas. The JVCC is a City of Mitchell facility that is dedicated to providing participants with a variety of leisure, recreational, cultural and educational activities in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment. Some of the many activities include: Cards, Mah Jongg, Darts, Pool Tables, Ping Pong, Shuffleboard, Wellness Education, Exercise, Fine Arts, Dances, Celebrations, Bingo, Community Outreach, Presentations, Bus Trips, Quilting, etc. Also has computer access and internet available for the members to use, or pay the $1.00 daily fee to utilize the computers, Internet, and facility here.

As the only library in Lead, it is the primary source for books and literature publications, periodicals, local, regional and worldwide history, children's books, children's events, DVDs and videos, and Free Internet and WIFI services. Everyone is invited to visit and use one of the many reading areas and to have a cup of coffee.

Community Library offering books, puzzles, DVD's, and public computers. State Park passes, fishing poles and tackle boxes, and disc golf sets are available for 3-day loans. Located on the East side of the Harrisburg Liberty Elementary School building. All residents of the City of Harrisburg can get a library card by showing proof of residency. Digital library cards are also available for anyone interested in checking out e-books from the digital library.

A public library in Armour, SD that hosts a collection of over 13,000 books along with video and audio books. Also offers residents access to digitized editions of local news resources, some of which have editions documented going back to 1884. Currently, the library images just the Armour Chronicle annually. The library offers an online portal that can be used to download and read e-books. Public internet services are offered at the library.

Provides area residents and patrons with a large selection of books, magazines, audio books, and DVDs. Also provides public access computers and free Wi-Fi. The Public can access printing, copying and laminating services for minimal fees.

Designed to provide an opportunity for seniors to become involved socially and physically, and enjoy community events. Provides a wide scope of social, physical fitness, recreational activities, and meeting space. Programs include bingo, weekly dance, card games like Hand and Foot, Pinochle, etc. shuffleboard, potlucks, exercise classes, and art classes. This 13,000 square foot facility is open to community activities as a rental and private events. ​The Minneluzahan Newsletter is published monthly.

Provides personalized selections delivered to the patron in their residence. There is no cost for this service.
