Resources, programs, and services available at Mitchell Public Library include - books (physical, eBooks, and audiobooks) for readers of all ages, Spanish language materials, Movies, Music CDs, boardgames, magazine, journal, and newspaper databases, genealogy databases, various subject databases, practice exams for a variety of pursuits, programming for children, teens, and adults, summer reading programs, interlibrary loan services, free computer use, free Wi-Fi, mobile printing, 3D printing, community meeting rooms, and used book sales.

Library services include access to over 60,000 books, Audio books, Videos, Internet access via 10 computers, Wi-Fi, Digital Content including books and magazines, test proctoring, Teen programming, Adult programming and computer classes, Preschool and Children's programming, and Homebound program.

​ The James Valley Community Center (JVCC) is a multi-generational community focal point for services and programs in the Mitchell and surrounding areas. The JVCC is a City of Mitchell facility that is dedicated to providing participants with a variety of leisure, recreational, cultural and educational activities in a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment. Some of the many activities include: Cards, Mah Jongg, Darts, Pool Tables, Ping Pong, Shuffleboard, Wellness Education, Exercise, Fine Arts, Dances, Celebrations, Bingo, Community Outreach, Presentations, Bus Trips, Quilting, etc. Also has computer access and internet available for the members to use, or pay the $1.00 daily fee to utilize the computers, Internet, and facility here.

The Hill City Public Library is open to the public and free to all patrons and includes an extensive collection of Hill City memorabilia, stories, and books relating to the history of the region. Also available is high-speed internet and Wi-Fi. Library Programming - Imagination club every Thursday at 3:30pm, Story Time every Friday at 9:30am, and Book Club every last Tuesday of the month at 5:00pm.

The Care Center is the hub of many resources at the Center of Hope. Services provided include computers and phone/fax - Guests can use, at no charge, for resume and employment/job searching; and Pastoral Care - Individuals can receive one on one counseling with the pastoral team, including getting connected with the Earn-Your-Way program. Weekly programs include: - ​Wednesday - ​9:30am - 11:00am, - Women's Coffee Break and Men's Life Bible study groups (During the school year) - Tuesday 9:30am - Transition to Transformed Bible Study, lead by Center of Hope staff at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House

Provides free resources for families that have a child in the Sioux Falls School District during the school year. Services include food pantry, hygiene items, winter gear, socks and underwear, access to computer/internet, space to connect with social worker for assistance, and birthday closet. Services are not offered during the summer.

Watertown Regional Library offers the following: ​Books, audio books, movies, music CDs, library tours, meeting rooms, art displays, consumer information, auto repair information, tax forms, electronic databases, WIFI, free computer use, interlibrary loan service from other libraries, downloadable audio books and e-books, downloadable magazines, self-service checkout, and books delivered to the homebound and to senior care facilities. ​Programming and services for children including library materials and play spaces, story time programs, Lego Club, summer reading programs, special events, daycare delivery service, and outreach to local schools and child care centers. ​Weekly programming for Grades 7-12 including gaming, trivia, movies, and more. ​Adult programming that include book discussions, adult reading programs, educational and cultural speakers, events, and classes. ​Special collections include the Marge Tauber South Dakota Room (South Dakota and Watertown historical), genealogical books, large print books, Children's Educational kits, and Book Club Tubs.

Provides personalized selections delivered to the patron in their residence. There is no cost for this service. Delivery is limited to residents who live within Rapid City Area School District inside Pennington County. Other services include test proctoring, no-cost notary services, faxing, reference assistance, local history resources, and dial-a-story. Meeting and study rooms are also available.
