The Vermillion Area Chamber & Development Company (VCDC) functions as a Chamber of Commerce, office of Economic Development, and Visitor/Tourism Bureau for Vermillion and the surrounding area. It operates in direct partnership with several other agencies, including the City of Vermillion, University of South Dakota, and the nonprofit Missouri Valley Growth, to better grow the economic prosperity of the area and create a positive environment in which to do business. The Sioux Falls Arts Council facilitates the arts and engages the community to discover the value the of the arts in day-to-day living by helping residents and visitors find, enjoy and participate in the artistic and cultural events available in the community. Driver education classes are offered at each high school for high school age students in the Spring, Summer and Fall.
