Strives to ensure that all learners - especially English Language Learners (ELL), economically disadvantaged learners and minority students - have the supports they need to achieve academic, career, and life goals. Services include parent/family training, teacher/administrator training/PD, tip sheets/printed materials, learning packets/books, webinars, videos, newsletter(s), toolkits and resources to support Family Engagement, and family friendly walk-throughs.

Epilepsy Learning Portal | Epilepsy Foundation of America

An accredited, online learning portal (and in-person) that provides continuing education credit for professionals and community members. Current Training Programs include Seizure First Aid Certification, Law Enforcement Training, Seizure Training for School Nurses, and Seizure Training for School Personnel.

Epilepsy and Seizures 24/7 Helpline | Epilepsy Foundation of America

Provides support, information, and referrals for people living with epilepsy, including possible resources to help with medication costs, support groups, find-an-epilepsy-specialist, help finding a seizure safety or detection device and information about services and programs serving the epilepsy community.

Suicide Prevention Programs | SPEAK Network

Works to reduce suicides and suicide attempts through community action and educational development. Current programs are Positive Self-Discovery course, Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR), and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST). These programs provide strategies for addressing health, wellness, and identification of persons at risk for suicide.

WAVI works to create a community free of domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, education, and support services. Community Health Education | Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate - Human Services Department

Offers patient education in the community and in schools to raise awareness on how to lower one's risk for chronic health problems and infectious illnesses. Topics include cancer awareness and screenings, injury prevention, tobacco prevention and cessation, sexually transmitted disease prevention, behavioral health awareness and screenings, drug and alcohol abuse awareness, immunizations, heart health, diabetes awareness and prevention, nutrition, and physical activity. Provides health education through health fairs, conferences, newspaper articles, health brochures, public service announcements, radio, posters, small group sessions, lunch n' learns, Facebook, and one-on-one counseling.

Museum and Learning Center | Journey Museum & Learning Center, The

Provides museum exhibits connecting attendees with the people, cultures, and science behind the Black Hills and prairies of Western South Dakota from prehistoric encounters and Native American heritage to pioneer tales and spaceflight. Includes cultural artifacts and interactive experiences. Also offers online education material for children, audio guided tours of the museum, educational field trips, and summer camps.
