Kids Voting South Dakota: A K - 12 civic education program designed to educate students and excite them about the democratic process. Students learn about our democracy through hands-on, action-oriented, classroom lessons with community and family involvement. Chiesman Democracy Conference: ​An annual conference regarding the state of democracy in South Dakota with panels of scholars, practitioners, and politicians studying democracy and South Dakota civic life.
The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan, political organization that encourages active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy. The League conducts voter registration at Naturalization Ceremonies throughout the year, sponsors Legislative Coffees, and organizes issue and candidate forums during election and legislative session
