Online Brain Injury Support Group | American Stroke Association

A zoom-based monthly meeting that welcomes survivors of brain injury (traumatic injury, acquired injury, neurological illness). The focus of the meeting is to allow all members to socialize with others, share resources, and offer support to one another. This group is facilitated by a speech pathologist but no formal therapy services are conducted.

Programs include: ​Brain Injury Rehabilitation - Helping patients learn new skills to help manage many of the symptoms of brain injury. ​Cancer rehabilitation - Addresses needs at each stage of treatment, helping patients cope with the effects of cancer and its treatment. ​Chronic pain services - Comprehensive outpatient pain management services. ​Comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation - Hospital-based rehabilitation program for those who require close medical monitoring and management of medical conditions. ​Comprehensive stroke rehabilitation program - Evidence-based treatments support individuals who have had a stroke as they regain daily living skills and become as independent as possible. ​Courage Kenny Kids - Offering physical and occupational therapy and speech-language pathology. ​Courage Kenny Spine Centers - Provides specialized, nonsurgical treatment for low back and neck pain. ​Spinal Cord Rehabilitation - Offers inpatient and outpatient services for persons with a spinal cord injury. ​Occupational/physical therapy and speech-language pathology - Providing clinic based outpatient rehabilitation therapy.

An online support group for those who have had a stroke or other brain injury/illness. The main focus of the group is to provide opportunity to socialize with others, provide resources, and offer support. This group is facilitated by a speech pathologist, however, no therapy is performed during meetings.

Brain Injury Caregiver Support Group | Severe Brain Injury Caregivers

Provides a support group for anyone who cares for someone with any of the following: wounds to the head or head injury, motor vehicle or bicycle accidents, falls, partner violence or physical abuse, lead poisoning, drug overdose, long-term neurocognitive or neuropsychiatric complications from stroke, birth defects, and any illness or disease. Provides an online community that provides peer-to-peer support that is tailored to meet the special needs of caregivers to persons with moderate-to-severe brain injuries or disease. This group believes there is always hope and will to will never give up on survivors because mutual support and sharing are an important part of the caregiving process.

National Brain Injury Information Center | Brain Injury Association of America

Supports individuals and families who experience the life-changing effects of brain injury. Offers user-friendly information about brain injury and assists in locating the specific rehabilitative, legal, financial, and other support services critical to maximizing individual recovery needs. Provides information about: local treatment and rehabilitation options, funding for services, legal issues, resources for veterans, living with brain injury, returning to school and work, coping with changes, and planning for your future.
