Domestic and Sexual Violence Hotline | StrongHearts Native Helpline

A culturally-appropriate, anonymous, confidential and free service dedicated to serving Native American and Alaska Native impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Advocates take a Native-centered, empowerment based and trauma informed approach to every call, text and chat. Advocates are available 24/7 and offer peer-to-peer support, crisis intervention and safety planning, information and education about domestic and sexual violence, referrals to Native-centered domestic violence, sexual violence service providers, basic information about health options, support locating health facilities or crisis centers trained in the care of sexual assault and forensic exams, and general information about jurisdiction and legal advocacy referrals.

Grief Support and Suicide Prevention | Wiconi Wakan Health and Healing Center

Focuses on providing community-based screening, crisis intervention, and postvention services for those struggling with suicide ideation or healing from a loved one's suicide. The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe operates under a constitution approved on April 24, 1959 by the Tribal Council of Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. The Tribal Council consists of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, a Secretary and fourteen additional Councilmen which are elected by the tribal members. Regular Tribal Council meetings are the first Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the month. Committee meetings are held the second week of the month. Winoti - Women's Lodge, The | Native American Community Board

Provides shelter for all suffering from domestic violence and/or sexual assault, and their families. In addition to shelter and food, services include: personal and rape advocacy, support groups, legal advocacy and referrals to other service agencies. The Women's Lodge can hold up to 18 adults and children before anyone has to sleep on the floor. Staff can also make arrangements if at full capacity or for other reasons if need be. Two-thirds of residents are usually children since most bring their children with them to protect them from the abuser's violence.
