HIV Prevention:
Provides free rapid HIV testing services with results in only 15 minutes. Walk-in testing is available; calling ahead is encouraged. People who test positive for HIV are assisted with navigating next steps and coordinating medical services.
Free condoms are available at our office, including latex-free and female condoms. We also supply free condoms to partner organizations upon request. Information on HIV/STDs, risk reduction, and PrEP is available. PrEP is a prescriptions-only daily pill that can help prevent HIV transmission.
Ryan White Part B:
A multidisciplinary healthcare team is established, surrounding a person with needed resources to navigate the healthcare system and promote a healthy lifestyle. Ongoing case management support helps to remove barriers to care, addressing the potential mental, social, and economic needs of those they support. Emergency assistance is available for medical expenses, prescribed medications, insurance premiums, and medical transportation.

The Ryan White Part C program helps HIV positive people who live in Eastern SD to access primary health care. All patients who apply for the Part C Program will have access to case management services. The case managers help people with HIV/AIDS find services they need such as medical care, health insurance assistance, assistance with paying for medications, financial help, food/nutrition assistance, housing, referral to substance use treatment programs and/or mental health services, transportation, and other types of services. The Part C Program is a payer of last resort. Patients that are eligible for compensation through other programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or private health insurance, must first access assistance through those programs.
Funds are available to assist with primary care, lab testing, emergency prescriptions, outpatient mental health therapy, outpatient substance abuse treatment, dental care, transportation, outpatient nutritional services, and medical and non-medical case management.
Other services include nurse case management, social work case management services, and HIV testing.

Services include the Aids Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), assistance with health care costs, assistance with insurance enrollment and premium payments, and one on one case management/counseling services for individuals who are HIV positive.

Services include information on health care providers and HIV testing services, one-on-one counseling for HIV/STD concerns, free condom distribution, and free information regarding HIV and STD's.

Goal is to assist low-income, HIV infected individuals with the cost of specific health care needs. Benefits of the program are determined by federal guidelines and a state advisory council. Due to limited funding, applicants may be placed on a waiting listing until the program can serve them.
Due to restricted funding, services are limited, and the services offered east and west river are not identical. Applicants will need to set up an appointment with applicable case management organization to determine what, if any services, the applicant may be eligible for, and the case management organization can provide.
