Some regular activities include: Red Road Talking Circles are rooted in Native American traditions and offer a place for individuals to connect with themselves and others through dialogue and storytelling. All are welcome to join this safe space to share their thoughts, feelings, and experiences of recovery. Locations and days of week vary. Red Road Approach (RRA) men's and women's groups provide a cognitive and experiential curriculum on Native American/Indigenous philosophies, activating the spirit for individuals, families, and communities. Participants are guided through lessons on the impacts of alcohol and drugs on the mind, body, and spirit. This 10-week adult program meets on a weekly basis. Incentives are available for graduates of the program. Therapeutic Sewing and Beading brings together coffee, laughter, and traditional craft-making! Open to the community as an opportunity to warm up with some coffee and work on beading and sewing with help from experts. Wellbriety is a 12-step meeting and recovery developed by White Bison. It is rooted in the teachings of Medicine Wheel, They Cycle of Life and the Four Laws of Changes. This group is open to all, and may be provided virtually. Other cultural activities, such as Trauma Recovery and Empowerment Group, Prayer Songs class and other welcoming events are offered during the week to take care of individuals spirit and keep connected to traditional Indigenous ways of life. Helps families and their support systems find hope and healing after the loss of a child at any age. Provides encouragement, compassion and support through retreats, education and small groups. The groups provide a way to connect with other families who are walking a similar journey. Different from other retreats, Healing Hope hosts only 1 family at a time (in a guest house on on 5-acre property), creating a unique one-on-one experience. The facilitators walk alongside the families, not as counselors, but as peers that have been on a similar journey. Healing Hope also appreciates the opportunity to educate the community by sharing personal stories of grief and life lessons with different groups, churches, schools, etc.

iCanConnectSD is a program established by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to distribute a wide array of assistive technology to people who are deaf-blind and require special equipment to make a phone call, send an email or access the Internet. Working in conjunction with the FCC, Perkins and Helen Keller National Center for Deaf-Blind Youth and Adults (HKNC), the Department of Human Services will connect people in South Dakota who are deaf-blind with the proper equipment and training on how to utilize it. iCanConnectSD provides a wide range of specialized and off-the-shelf hardware, software and applications. The program also provides one-on-one training to help people use the equipment to its fullest.
