Hy-Vee and Active Generations Nutrition Department partner together to offer "Your Choice Meals" - a hot nutritious meal for adults aged 60 and over, their spouse, and/or dependent adult living with them. The Hy-Vee "Your Choice" card offers the option of presenting pre-paid card at the Hy-Vee deli counter and selecting a meal from a designated menu. The diner can choose one meal per day. Sample Menus can be found on the website ​If interested, individuals are required to fill out a short National Aging Program Information System (NAPIS) form. The information is kept confidential. The South Dakota Driver's License Program is responsible for individuals that are applying for a South Dakota Driver's License or Identification Card.

• For driver tests, duplicates, and renewals, you must either call (605) 773-6883 between 8:00am - 5:00pm to schedule an appointment or schedule online at www.dps.sd.gov. Driver tests must be scheduled, at least two weeks before the desired test date.
• Driver Education: Is offered across South Dakota by various local entities and schools. If you are interested in learning about programs in your area, email or call (605) 431-6520 to speak with Christopher Grant, the SD State Driver Education Coordinator.

Now available in Spanish: driver license application, study manuals and written test. Driving part of the test is still given via English as the spoken language.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.

Veteran support groups are available at both Vet Centers in Rapid City and Sioux Falls. Groups include a men's Vietnam support group, women's support group, garden group, and Project Healing Waters group. Also offers a combat and military sexual trauma support group and a service building spiritual strength group. Groups are subject to change throughout the year. Must be enrolled at the Vet Center to participate.

The New Underwood Community Center is a place where members of the community can host a variety of events that are open to the public or private events.

Sistema-based program serves children ages 7 - 18 through immersive music education and performance.

Provides money to purchase basic, non-traditional, or community services that may not be available due to cost or other factors. This program directly meets the needs of families who find themselves facing unpredicted financial hardship. These funds are accessed on a last-resort status when all other resources have been exhausted. The program currently serves clients of CASSP member organizations including Northeastern Mental Health Center, Avera St. Luke's Peds Therapies, Transition Services Liaison Project, South Dakota Department of Health, South Dakota Department of Social Services - Economic Assistance, Court Services, Avera Addiction Services, Safe Harbor, Aberdeen Central School District, Sanford Children's CHILD Services, Aberdeen Housing Authority, SD Parent Connection, North East Head Start Program, Northeast South Dakota CASA (Fifth Circuit), and Salvation Army of Aberdeen.

The daytime program provides the following services: case management for connection with needed resources, access to computers and a phone for housing and job searches, showers, laundry, clothing bank, hot coffee, lunch, and temporary mail address services.

60's + Dining is a senior congregate meal program that provides a nutritious noon meal which reduces or prevents malnutrition, a major cause of other health problems. The program also provides socialization for the participants, which helps ease the problem of isolation among older persons. Persons who are unable to leave their homes due to illness or frailty may receive a home-delivered meal, while those who are able to travel meet at a congregate site for their meals. Participants in the program are asked to make a donation for the meal, but no one is refused service if unable to do so. Frozen Meal Program available to any client over 60. Quality, balanced, nutritious meals are flash frozen in specialty containers that can be heated in the microwave.

Offers pet food to those in need depending on supplies at the time. Assistance is available once every 30 days. Certain brands of pet food are not guaranteed.

Works to broaden the reach of SDSU with a commitment to providing quality education no matter where students reside. A public health nutrition program for income-eligible infants and children up to age 5, pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women. WIC provides nutrition education to help make healthy eating choices, breastfeeding education for expectant and new mothers looking to learn more about their infant nutrition options, referrals to connect families with quality medical care and other community services, and food benefits to help families purchase nutritious groceries at participating businesses statewide.

Provides safe, secure housing of inmates to provide continued public safety. Provides visitation services for inmates to maintain contact with family and friends through regular visits (see website for visitation guidelines).

South Dakotans age 60 and older who have an approved application will receive a monthly box of non-perishable food at no cost. Packages include a variety of foods, such as cheese, juice, oats, ready-to-eat cereal, rice, pasta, peanut butter, dry beans, canned meat, poultry, or fish, canned fruits and vegetables, and many times a canned entree such as beef stew or chili. Medical assistance programs include: ​Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP): Coverage includes such things as doctor, hospital, prescription drugs, counseling, dental and glasses. Insurance for children up to age 19 at no cost to the family if the income is below certain income levels found on the Federal Poverty Guidelines. If the family income is below 140%, the children may be eligible with or without private health insurance. If there is insurance, CHIP will pay the deductibles, co-insurance, and possibly some medical services not covered by the private insurance. ​Medicaid: Health care coverage for people who qualify. To be eligible for Medicaid, individuals must fall into a coverage group and meet certain financial and non-financial eligibility criteria. Provides help for older adults and people with disabilities.

Investigates child abuse and neglect cases by working with the State's Attorney, law enforcement, and community resources to determine extent of alleged child abuse or neglect. Other services include adoptions, licensing of foster homes, assessment services, case management, and intensive family services.
