Sioux Falls has six ice rinks around the city. Each ice rink has a warming house, limited concessions, vending and skate rentals available. Hours may change, subject to weather. Hours of operation are for the warming house. Those who have their own skates are welcome to skate during normal park hours. **Parents of small children should be especially aware of weather conditions and warming house hours before leaving children at the outdoor rinks when weather conditions are extreme. Children ages 6 and under must be accompanied by someone 16 years of age or older. Locations are: Campus Park Frank Olson Park Jacobson Plaza, The Skate Ribbon and Warming House McKennan Park Memorial Park Sherman Park Tuthill Park Sioux Falls has two Hockey Rinks, both are 200' x 85' regulation-size ice rinks with the light levels up to outdoor hockey lighting standards. Coteau des Prairies (CDP) Health Care System is a 25-bed, critical access acute care, community non-profit hospital serving approximately 21,000 residents in the Glacial Lakes Region in north east South Dakota, and west central Minnesota. CDP Health Care System owns and operates the attached certified rural health clinic in Sisseton, and the Rosholt Clinic in Rosholt, South Dakota.​ Services available at Coteau des Prairies Hospital and Clinic include In-patient and out-patient surgery, Swing Beds, Emergency Room, Cardiac Rehab, Laboratory Services, Radiology, Mammography, Therapy Services, Fitness Center, Medication disposal, Diabetic Education, Telehealth, Medical-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Nutrition Services, and Women's Health. The Lyman County Sheriff's Department protects the rights of the citizens within its jurisdiction to be free from criminal attacks, to be secure in their possessions and to live in peace. The County Sheriff is also the contact mental health holds, burning bans, county jails/correctional facilities and fingerprinting (call for specifics).

Services include collecting fees for property taxes and vehicle licenses (cars, motorcycles, trucks, trailers, commercial vehicles, snowmobiles, and boats), parking permits application and issuing for individuals with a disability, and application assistance for tax reduction / rebate programs for individuals who are disabled and / or elderly (65 or older).

Opportunities include extended stay artist residencies for creatives in all media, space for organizational group meetings, workshops, social events, seasonal arts and nature excursions, small concerts or theatrical experiences in Main Hall or outside, recital and exhibit space in A-frame, host for photography groups, literary events, etc., and also available for groups like family reunions, weddings, and country excursions.

Provides workshops, information, and support services to help with practical and emotional challenges for families facing deployment. Services include: Coping with Deployments course, Pre-Deployment Preparedness Tool for Family Members, Reconnection Workshops, Mind-Body Workshops, and post-deployment support resources.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.

The department takes applications for building permits, administers the County zoning ordinances and makes recommendations to the Commission for granting or denying the permits. The Finance Office houses the following City of Selby departments: Finance (responsible for managing the fiscal affairs of the city, budget development and monitoring, accounting services, cash and asset management, payroll, contract administration, panning and zoning, grants management and financial reporting, city council agendas, long range planning for the City, and special use permits), Parks and Recreation (maintains parks, sports fields, and facilities, provides recreational programming, and manages the Recreation and Aquatics centers, Utilities (public utilities, water, sewer, and garbage collection), and Public Works (streets and sanitation, snow removal, sanitary sewer services, and storm water).

Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation maintains and operates more than 3,400 acres of parkland, made up of: Aquatic facilities: The Midco Aquatic Center, five outdoor facilities, two wading pools and two spray parks.
