Hy-Vee and Active Generations Nutrition Department partner together to offer "Your Choice Meals" - a hot nutritious meal for adults aged 60 and over, their spouse, and/or dependent adult living with them. The Hy-Vee "Your Choice" card offers the option of presenting pre-paid card at the Hy-Vee deli counter and selecting a meal from a designated menu. The diner can choose one meal per day. Sample Menus can be found on the website ​If interested, individuals are required to fill out a short National Aging Program Information System (NAPIS) form. The information is kept confidential. The Society of St Vincent de Paul serves the community of Sioux Falls with various programs including outreach services providing financial and material support to those in need for necessities such as rent, utilities, food, shelter, clothing and more. The Belle Silver Lining Senior Citizens Center (BSLSCC) is a place for senior citizens to meet and engage in activities, educational programs, exercise and dance, clubs, community involvement, and much more. Provides and coordinates phone outreach and support for isolated or homebound residents at no charge. Medical equipment available such as walkers, hospital beds, wheelchairs, etc. free of charge to those in need. A nurse is on site every Monday (2:00pm - 4:00pm) to do toenails, blood pressures, as well as answer any medical or home health questions.

The Home and Community-Based Options and Person-Centered Excellence (HOPE) waiver provides home and community-based services to people who need nursing facility level of care. The waiver allows people age 65 and older, and people age 18 and older who have a qualifying disability, to live at home or in the setting that is most independent for them. Services may include in-home services, respite and caregiver services, nutrition and meals, safety and help getting around, adult day services, community living home, and assisted living. The waiver is provided through Long Term Service and Supports.

Provides nutritious meals, companionship, and community support to seniors and individuals in need while empowering them to live independently with dignity in their homes. Consists of a hot meal delivered to their door Monday through Friday from 10:45am to 12:30pm. See Meals On Wheels section of the Active Generations website to apply for the Senior Meals Program in your community. Menus meet 1/3 of the Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI's) for the population served. Menus are designed by a Registered Dietitian and are low in fat and sodium. Special diets are available upon request; diabetic, gluten free, renal, as well as textured modified servings. Supportive services include: information and referrals, nutrition counseling and education.
