60's + Dining is a senior congregate meal program that provides a nutritious noon meal which reduces or prevents malnutrition, a major cause of other health problems. The program also provides socialization for the participants, which helps ease the problem of isolation among older persons. Persons who are unable to leave their homes due to illness or frailty may receive a home-delivered meal, while those who are able to travel meet at a congregate site for their meals. Participants in the program are asked to make a donation for the meal, but no one is refused service if unable to do so. Frozen Meal Program available to any client over 60. Quality, balanced, nutritious meals are flash frozen in specialty containers that can be heated in the microwave.

A monthly ecumenical worship service with children's activities. Each service is hosted by a ministry partner. Worship is followed by a community meal/picnic. Hartford Senior Nutrition Meals is for individuals age 60 or older, their spouse, and/or dependent adult living with the eligible participant. Meals are provided by The Wooden Nickel in Crooks. - Congregate Dining: offered at the Senior Citizens building in Hartford Monday - Friday, serving time is at 11:30am. Sign up is required for the meal. Need to call 605-528-3999 by 1:00pm the day before the meal to sign up. Leave a message if no answer. - Home Delivered Meals: offered in Hartford and Humboldt Monday -Friday. Individuals receiving home delivered meals choose what days they would like to receive the meals. To sign up for home delivered meals, call 605-333-3304. When on home delivered meals, will need to call and cancel meals if gone on scheduled day(s). Call 605-528-3999 to cancel. Activities: playing pool, playing cards, and watching television.
