The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) is a USDA food assistance program to eligible senior citizens through the Salvation Army and the Food Service Center. CSFP works to improve the health of low-income people at least 60 years of age by supplementing their diets with nutritious USDA commodity foods. Those eligible will receive a commodity box once a month for a year. The package includes a variety of food including cereals, canned meat, canned fruits, instant milk, peanut butter, instant potatoes, and pasta products.
