This agency operates the following programs: Air Conditioners - Must be income eligible (125%), be signed up at the agency and have a medical statement stating they need an AC. Also cannot have received one in the last 3 years. Distribution is primarily in June of each year. Please call for an appointment. Medical Equipment Lending - Available for those in need of bathtub seats, shower and tub rails. Thrift Store - Low cost items with proceeds going to fund free food and special projects. 9:00am - 4:00pm, Monday - Friday.

Thrift Store - The Closet | Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership

The Closet in Flandreau (Moody County) has clothing and other household goods for persons who wish to use the store's services. If an income-eligible person or family cannot afford to purchase the clothing, the Community Service Worker in that county can provide a voucher that allows the person or family to get the clothing at no charge.

Clearinghouse for local food pantry, gas vouchers, utility (including water, electric, and gas bills with a disconnection notice), and rent help. Love Inc is not income based, rather they are need based. If Love, Inc is unable to help, clients will be referred to the appropriate agency. Programs include: Friday Backpack Program (healthy snacks for weekends), Adopt-A-Student Backpack Program (supplies and backpack for the school year), personal care pantry, winter coat drive, Helping Hands Baby Ministry, Love Inc's Clothing Closet (a thrift store for the Canton community), and budgeting classes.

For those who cannot afford the clothing, furniture and other household items may be provided them through a Vincentian referral/voucher system. The SVDP Thrift Store aims to serve the needs of people in our community, show people the love of Jesus, and generate money to meet the physical needs of people in need of housing, clothing, gas, food, etc. Surplus funds will be dedicated to the support of Parish Conferences and charitable causes of the Society approved by our District Council.
