Health and Social Needs Transportation | Helpline Center

Lyft rides are available for varying health and social needs. Rides must be for a medical or social service need that meets an essential/basic need (i.e. getting food, going to work, etc.). Criteria needs to meet one of the following: Dow Rummel residents Older adults (65+) Individuals with disabilities Rides that meet a medical or social need (no age limit on this category) Rides are not guaranteed until client intake is approved by Helpline Center Transportation Specialist.

Memory care services are designed for professional care of residents living with dementia.

Youth Outreach Programs | Journey On

STEPS: Provides outreach and transportation for youth who need help removing barriers to housing, education, self-care, and community connections. This program also serves youth who are considered houseless (which could mean frequent runaway, couch surfing with friends or family, unaccompanied youth, living in hotels or in shelters). Safe Passage: Provides safety for youth as they travel to and from school through a trusted adult presence designed to be there for the youth and their families. The program helps identify any barriers each family faces to get their children to school, after-school programs, events, and partner programs in a timely and safe manner. Safe Passage allows the development of relationships with youth and their parents, intervenes in and mediates potential conflicts, and connects youth and their support systems to needed resources. High Risk Intervention (HRI): Program focuses on redirecting youth with a history of engaging in violent or gang-related behaviors into more positive youth-related activities.

Food Distribution | Faith Temple Food Giveaway

Offers free food to anyone 18 years of age or older. There is no restriction on who can come, or how many times you can come. A pre-packaged box of food in a drive thru style giveaway. Guests will stay in their vehicles and will follow a predetermined route via the north entrance of the fairgrounds off of Madison Street. Pet food also now available, supply is limited. Food (boxed) or pet food delivery available for those who cannot otherwise get to the giveaway on a limited basis. For individuals who are unable to pickup food due to not having a vehicle, delivery may be available. Call 2-1-1 for more information.

Street Outreach Team | Journey On

Delivers outreach to build relationships and to distribute basic necessities of snacks and water, clothing, blankets, and hygiene products. Assesses service-ready individuals, co-responds to crisis intervention, provides and facilitates service referrals, and provides transportation to safe locations in the community. Street Outreach also provides relatives transportation to medical appointments and court appearances.
