Farm Service Agency (FSA) handles many federal farm programs and makes agricultural and commodity loans. FSA provides financial assistance to producers who have suffered from natural disasters. Disaster assistance is available for a wide variety of disaster event, including but not limited to flooding, winter storms, drought, tornado, fire and other natural disasters that have adversely impacted producers. FSA disaster assistance encompasses livestock death losses, damaged or destroyed feed supplies, crop production losses, loss of grazing land, farmland rehabilitation, restoring water supplies, emergency loans and other disaster aid. Provides transitional and supportive housing services to veterans who are homeless or at risk of homelessness due to financial hardship, unemployment, addiction, mental health, or transition from jail. Services include connection to immediate food and shelter needs, job training, life skills development and education, justice system navigation for community reentry from jail, and financial support to prevent homelessness.

Criminal cases - Individuals do not file criminal charges in U.S. district courts. A criminal proceeding is initiated by the government, usually through the U.S. attorney's office in coordination with a law enforcement agency. Civil cases - A civil action is commenced by the filing of a complaint. Parties instituting a civil action in a district court are required to pay a filing fee pursuant to Title 28, U.S. Code, Section 1914. The current fee is $400.00. Complaints may be accompanied by an application to proceed in forma pauperis, meaning that the plaintiff is incapable of paying the filing fee.
