The primary purpose of the Aberdeen Public Library is to provide resources and services in a variety of media to meet the needs of individuals and groups for education, information, and personal development including recreation and leisure. Services and programming including books, audiobooks, eBooks, book clubs, DVDs, CDs, Magazines, area newspapers, homebound delivery of library materials within the city limits, free literacy and STEAM programs for children ages 0-18 (birth through teens), adult literacy programming, educational and multi-cultural programs, online card catalog and research databases, genealogy research and databases, free test proctoring, free Wi-Fi and internet access, free computer access, technology classes, one-on-one technology help by appointment, community rooms, and curbside pickup.

Pre-CNA Classes | REACH

Helping people get ready for the written CNA exam. The classes do not teach the content of a CNA test. Instead, they focus on important CNA words, teach test-taking tips and offer practice tests to help participants prepare. These classes are for people working as a CNA who need to take the test for the first time or those who didn't pass the test and need help to try again. All instruction is in English. Students need basic English skills or higher. Native English speakers who need study help are encouraged to enroll.

The REACH Literacy bookstore has both a physical location and an online store. All books are donated and sales fund REACH's literacy programs. Families have the opportunity to take home five free children's books every time they visit.

Dyslexia Services and Training | Rapid City Dyslexia Care

Shares information about dyslexia and offers specialized reading and spelling lessons for children and adults, in-person or remote. Also, Training for Parents provides parents (within a 60-minute radius of Rapid City) with a monthly membership, which gains access to articles, books, and DVDs on the topic of dyslexia, training in the Barton Reading and Spelling System, and materials needed to tutor their own children in reading and spelling.
