Responsible for the administration and delivery of numerous fire prevention programs and activities, the overall goal of which is to reduce the occurrence of fire and associated loss and injury within the community. Core components of the services include public education program development and delivery, plans review, inspection and acceptance testing, fire records management, and fire investigation. Individuals experiencing issues with their smoke alarm can dial 2-1-1 to get their smoke alarm batteries checked and replaced for free.
