LifeSight provides four primary programs:

• KidsFIRST: provides free vision screenings for pre-school and elementary school children by means of partnerships with area eye care professionals and local volunteers. To schedule a KidsFIRST free vision screening, contact LifeSight at 605-716-6733. Screenings are available for children 6 months of age - 5th grade.
• Gift of Sight: provides sight-saving surgeries to those in our community without the financial means to afford care, helping these individuals regain their vision, and most importantly, independence, mobility and quality of life. This program is available only by referral from an area eye doctor (optometrist or ophthalmologist).

- VisionCARE: provides no-cost eye exams and glasses, critical to one's overall health and wellbeing, to individuals who meet program criteria and have no other option for care, providing a simple but powerful path to helping people see better to live better. • Scholarship Program: Annually awards the LifeSight Dr. Paul L. Zimmerman Memorial Endowed Scholarship to a fourth year student at the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine planning to pursue a career in ophthalmology.

LifeSight does not offer Eye Examinations, but serves as a resource and referral contact for those with vision impairment.

InfantSEE is a public health program, managed by Optometry Cares - the AOA Foundation. Under this program, participating optometrists provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment between 6 and 12 months of age as a no-cost public service.

A state agency that works with individuals who are blind and or visually impaired in the area of employment and independent living. Services that are available if eligible Vocational counseling and evaluation, Job placement, Training in specialized skills of blindness (cane, travel, braille, daily living), Job development, On-the-job training, Job follow-up, Assistive technology services, Job retention, Funding for post-secondary training or eye surgery (If economic need is met), and Low Vision services (includes a visual examination conducted by a trained specialist in the field of low vision, assessment of visual functioning of individual needs and goals, prescriptions for specialized low vision devices, and individualized training).

Located on the Pine Ridge Reservation, it is an ambulatory care center with outpatient services. Services include primary care, pediatric, women's health, optometry, dental, behavioral health, podiatry, radiology, and laboratory tests.

Veterans Stand Down event provides education and information about Veteran services and benefits to Veterans and their families in the West River region. The event also includes haircuts, clothing, hygiene products, employment services, legal assistance, housing referrals, eye screening/reading glasses, readjustment counseling. A free meal is served at all locations.

Medical services that are offered include allergy, asthma, and immunology, dermatology, ear, nose, and throat, family medicine, gastroenterology, general surgery, internal medicine, interventional pain, ophthalmology, optometry, pediatrics, podiatry, and rheumatology.

Offers vision care and blind rehabilitation services to help individuals live independently. These may include vision-enhancing devices and technology as well as visual skills and related training. Other services include comprehensive eye exams, visual skills assessment, guidance on how to develop visual motor and perceptual skills, and training to help manage daily activities with vision loss.

Specialty Services include: Audiology, Anticoagulation, and Home Based Primary Care. Mental health Services: individual, couples, and group psychotherapy Telemental health available Audiology Services: including hearing aid fittings, adjustments, and replacement. Call to schedule an appointment. The following programs and specialty care are available by telehealth: Blind and Low Vision Rehabilitation, Primary Care, PTSD Care, and Returning Service Member Care.

KidSight South Dakota - Providing free vision screening for children 6-months to 18-years old. Mobile screening units are available to daycares, preschools and schools on request. Vision Assistance Program - Individual Lions clubs partner with healthcare professionals to provide vision exams at no or reduced cost and eye glasses at reduced rates to uninsured and income-qualified individuals (200% of federal poverty level). Eyeglasses Collection - Glasses are inspected, cleaned, refurbished, and reused by people in need in developing countries around the world. Donated glasses may be dropped off at Walmart Vision Centers or visit the website for other locations. Services include emergency care, 24-hour ambulance services, urgent care, surgical, obstetrics, dental, vision, diabetic clinic, pharmacy, prescription assistance, Women's Health, and immunization clinics. Enrolled members of a Native American tribe can get free prescriptions by visiting their local IHS.

Services include dental care, mental health services, public health nurse, environmental health care, optometry, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy (Prescription Assistance - Enrolled members of a Native American tribe can get free prescriptions by visiting their local IHS), podiatry, HIV Clinic, SANE services, and Fitness Center.
