Dow Rummel Village is a Life Plan Community including: Independent Living, Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, Enhanced Memory Care and Skilled Nursing Care. ​On-site care including: Good Care Rehab, restorative therapy, massage therapy, foot care clinics, and home health care. All staff are trained in Parkinson's Disease and dementia communication. Wellness Center including: 60 foot lap pool, warm therapy pool, full time staff, cardiovascular strength training room, aerobic classroom, 15 classes/week. ​On-site amenities include Covell's Restaurant, movie theater, salon and spa, bank, deli, chapel, Village Shoppe, golf simulator and outdoor putting green, coffee shop, art/craft studio.

They are most appropriate for individuals recently discharged from the hospital and are not fully recovered such as after surgery or new diagnosis, individuals recently diagnosed with an illness and needing education, and individuals who have a chronic condition that needs frequent clinical assessment such as diabetes, kidney, stroke, heart or lung disease.

HOPE Waiver | South Dakota Department of Human Services

The Home and Community-Based Options and Person-Centered Excellence (HOPE) waiver provides home and community-based services to people who need nursing facility level of care. The waiver allows people age 65 and older, and people age 18 and older who have a qualifying disability, to live at home or in the setting that is most independent for them. Services may include in-home services, respite and caregiver services, nutrition and meals, safety and help getting around, adult day services, community living home, and assisted living. The waiver is provided through Long Term Service and Supports.
