Hospice Care is special care for patients who have a diagnosis of a terminal illness or a significant decline in overall health. Hospice care can be set up at home, in long-term care facilities or assisted living, or hospice centers. Hospice professionals are specially trained to manage pain and symptoms with palliative medicine at the end of life so patients are comfortable, yet alert and able to enjoy each day to the fullest extent possible.
