Hillsview Municipal Golf course is a par 72 course set along the bluffs of the Missouri river in Pierre, S.D. The course features bent grass greens, bluegrass fairways and tees. It offers four sets of tees based on playing ability: Black, gold, silver and white. The Clubhouse is full-service facility featuring a pro-shop, snack bar, grill and seating for 80. A kid's course is also marked out with yellow disks located in the fairways. The maximum yardage from the tips of the course is 6,735 yards. Hillsview practice facility offers a driving range, two putting greens, and a 50 yard short game chipping green area with practice sand bunker.

The City of Sioux Falls owns three municipal golf courses: Elmwood, Prairie Green, and Kuehn Park. The courses are conveniently located and offer a great golf experience for players of all skill levels.

Provides recreation activities to the citizens of Vermillion through the parks and trails system, recreational facilities, meeting and event space, Bluffs Golf Course, and Prentis Park Pool including swim lessons, swim team practices and meets, and free wading pool. Programs available to all residents including adult volleyball, youth wrestling, baseball and softball, track, and tennis.

Provides tree planting information, oversight of the Auld-Brokaw Trail System, maintains a trail and parks map, and oversees park and facility rental.

The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department provides recreational/leisure services to the Aberdeen Community and surrounding region. This includes 12 city parks (including 3 dog parks), over 20 miles of trails, 2 softball complexes, Fossum Baseball Field Complex, Kuhnert Arboretum, 2 outdoor ice rinks and 1 indoor ice arena. Wylie Park and Storybook Land is one of the primer parks in the region. It includes 2 campgrounds, Miniature golf, go-karts, picnic facilities and bike and skate rentals. At Storybook Land families enjoy a world of imagination inspired by nursery rhymes and featuring the Land of Oz. Also enjoy a ride on the Train, Carousel, Balloon Ride and Roller Coaster. The Recreation Division provides recreational activities year round for all ages including youth ball leagues, youth & adult tennis lessons and leagues, skating lessons, open gyms, recreational skating, cross country ski lessons, and adult basketball and volleyball leagues. Many special events are offered including Family Fun Weekend, Tennis Tournaments, Storybook Land Festival, Winterfest and Holiday Celebration just to name a few. The YAPAtorium Teen Center provides many activities for teens. Other facilities include: Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center (ARCC) where programming in the visual arts, dance, music, and theatre occur for all ages. Other areas at the ARCC include the Civic Arena, Civic Theatre, and the ARCC Gallery. The Aberdeen Aquatic Center provides entertainment for the whole family with the lap pool, diving boards, leisure pool with multilevel play structure, 3 waterslides, and the Lazy River. Other activities include swimming lessons, water walking and adult water exercise. Lee Park Golf Course is an 18 hole public course which provides lessons and leagues. Aberdeen Senior Center provides many programs and activities for people over 50 years of age

Two municipal golf courses are operated by the City of Huron through a Golf Course Commission which is appointed by the Mayor. Broadland Creek National Golf Course, 118 22nd Street N.W. Memorial Golf Course, 50 Jersey Avenue N.E.

Provides water, sewer, and natural gas services to the residents of Garretson, SD. Serves as point of contact for the city officials including Mayor, council members, finance officer, utilities superintendent, building inspector, and city attorney (the city attorney cannot represent private parties or give them legal advice). A variety of tourism and recreation opportunities are available including Split Rock Park, Devil's Gulch, Palisades State Park, Garretson Museum, River Ridge Golf Course, Baseball/Softball Complex, and the Garretson Swimming Pool.

City of Mitchell Public Golf Course offers a Youth Golf Program, Family and Youth Golf Lessons, SDHSAA Boys and Girls Golf Events, Public Recreation for Golfing Public, Driving Range, and Free putting practice green.

Manages the City of Mitchell Urban Forest, and provides and maintains sports fields and facilities, and also provides recreational programming for all ages and abilities. City recreation exists to provide opportunities for leisure time activities at an affordable cost, usually subsidized by public funds, which are not feasible or easily provided by the private sector. Forestry - purpose is to preserve and perpetuate one of the community's most valuable natural resource and asset - its municipal forest of trees on public property, including boulevards, parks and other city properties. The City of Brookings is responsible for the planting, care and maintenance and removal / replacement of trees on public property, including city boulevards, parks and schools. Parks Department - builds and maintains the parks in the Brookings Park system, comprising over 640 acres. The department also cooperates closely with the Brookings School District in building and maintaining joint school / park facilities.
