Crisis intervention, assessments, counseling, and case management services that help young people and their families overcome challenges and pave the way for an improved quality of life. Provides support to individuals suffering from mental health issues, alcohol and drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and crime victimization. Support is also provided to individuals struggling with personality development and relationship issues. Therapists specialize in: Individual, family, and group therapy Play, art, and sand therapy Marriage and relationship counseling Treatment for depression, anxiety, and behavior issues Trauma Stress and anger management Chemical dependency treatment and prevention Level 1 alcohol and drug evaluation and treatment Suicide crisis intervention Treatment for youth with problematic sexual behaviors Additional Services Parenting classes Mind-Body workshops Domestic violence program Mental health consultations and trainings Equine Assisted Therapy Group Mental Health Evaluations Child abuse survivor program Telehealth sessions available. Prefer first session in person. Classes and Workshops are conducted through Family Support and Advocacy Services Department.

Support Groups | Moore Counseling Group

Variety of groups available: Divorce (or After Relationship) Group Support group for adults going through the pain experienced at the end of a relationship (divorce, separation, break up). Support group is led by a licensed professional counselor. Babysitting during support group (must call ahead to register). Dyslexia Services and Training | Rapid City Dyslexia Care

Shares information about dyslexia and offers specialized reading and spelling lessons for children and adults, in-person or remote. Also, Training for Parents provides parents (within a 60-minute radius of Rapid City) with a monthly membership, which gains access to articles, books, and DVDs on the topic of dyslexia, training in the Barton Reading and Spelling System, and materials needed to tutor their own children in reading and spelling.

Gender-Diverse Services | Transformation Project, The

Offering support, education, advocacy and resources for transgender/gender-diverse youth, their parents, and transgender/gender-diverse young adults up through age 35. Community Health Worker helps to advocate for the gender-diverse community. Services are available online and in-person.

Early Childhood Intervention | Sisseton-Wahpeton Oyate - Human Services Department

Locates children that are new born to 5 years of age who are suspected of having developmental delays or mental and/or physical disabilities in order to provide early intervention services. Services include screening children for developmental delays, referring children requiring further evaluation to the appropriate agencies, and providing parents with training, educational materials, and monetary and transportation assistance. This program also hosts parent support group meetings, workshops, and health fairs.
