Sanford Hospice is a specially trained team that is committed to providing our patients with quality end-of-life care. Our interdisciplinary team understands and is sensitive to the needs of our patients and their loved ones. Our team is comprised of nurses, medical director, social workers, dietitians, volunteers and chaplains. Hospice services can be provided wherever that patient calls home. Provides nursing facility and short-term rehabilitation care in a home-like environment with individualized care plans. Services include but are not limited to 24-hour nursing care, wound care management, nutrition services, safety systems, pain management, recreational activities, in-house pet therapy, physical/occupational/speech therapy, and restorative therapy. Also provides memory support, hospice, respite care services.

Offers therapeutic interventions and healing in a variety of ways, including creative outlets like play, music and art. Specific approaches include: Individual counseling, Dialectical behavioral therapy, LGBTQ+ counseling, Child abuse survivor counseling for adults, Couples (conjoint) counseling, Faith based counseling, Adolescent/youth counseling, Parent counseling, Spouse/intimate partner abuse counseling, Mass shooting counseling, Grief/bereavement counseling, Child abuse counseling, Family counseling, Play therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy. Also trained to do Animal Assisted Play Therapy. In-person and telehealth counseling appointments available.
