Residential Substance Use Treatment | Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services
Residential substance use treatment for individuals suffering from illegal and prescription drug abuse as well as dependence on and addiction to alcohol.
A 28-day intensive inpatient treatment program where individuals are emerged in 30 hours or more of programming each week. Clinically monitored inpatient withdrawal management (detoxification) program available if needed.
Residential substance use treatment services are provided in the Benedictine Center on the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital Campus.

Outpatient Services - Individual therapy (for mental health or substance use), Family therapy, Group therapy, Medication management, Psychological assessments and testing, Commitment evaluations, Nursing home consultations, and 24-hour a day crisis intervention via crisis line. Walk in assessments available during regular business hours at the Yankton and Vermillion locations.
CARE Club - Program for individuals with a mental health disability (i.e. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety and borderline personality) who live in the community. CARE club provides support, assistance, interaction with others and the opportunity to improve consumers existing skills and develop new coping skills.
Children's Services - Provides child centered therapeutic services in the home or office. This program provides mental health services to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Works closely with child-serving agencies and programs.
