The Counseling Center offers the following services (all services based on eligibility and priority needs): Substance abuse services include screening, intake, evaluation, referrals, aftercare, primary prevention programs, education, MRT/SBISA classes, and group counseling. ​Mental health services include couples therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, Education, Referrals, and Psychological evaluations and services.

Crisis intervention, assessments, counseling, and case management services that help young people and their families overcome challenges and pave the way for an improved quality of life. Provides support to individuals suffering from mental health issues, alcohol and drug abuse, child abuse and neglect, domestic violence, and crime victimization. Support is also provided to individuals struggling with personality development and relationship issues. Providing outpatient treatment for chemical dependency and mental health. Services include chemical dependency and mental health assessments, integrated assessments, individual chemical dependency and mental health therapy. Level 2.1 Intensive Outpatient Treatment, CBT group therapy, Crossroads group (Christians affected by addiction), Aftercare, and Alumni group are also available.

Provides evaluation and treatment for Methamphetamines, including adult residential treatment.

Crisis assistance, family therapy, support groups and clients are offered resources for cultural/spiritual guidance. Outreach services are provided to the school and corrections.

Offers in person counseling as well as telehealth options. Provides a variety of mental health services. Some of those services include: treatment for eating disorders, substance abuse evaluations, internet addiction evaluation and treatment, therapy for individuals with dual intellectual and/or developmental disabilities and mental health, caregiver counseling, ambiguous loss counseling, as well as trauma services, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Detoxification Service: Couteau Des Prairies Hospital will provide emergency, acute medical detoxification services for those requiring these services. A Dakotah Pride Center staff member will provide transportation for detoxification services and a staff counselor will provide motivational counseling for clients who are undergoing detoxification to seek treatment through Dakotah Pride Treatment Center. Pre-treatment Evaluations: Provides screening, assessment, intervention, and treatment placement. Walk-in Assessments for Substance Use available. Adult Outpatient Program: Outpatient treatment services are provided for individuals who meet the admission criteria. The objectives of the program are to provide treatment for individuals who require therapeutic and supportive counseling and referral services while living independently, who may have completed inpatient treatment previously but relapsed, or for whom residential treatment is not otherwise possible. The program meets three times a week in three hour long sessions for six weeks. Adolescent Program: Provides outpatient treatment and continuing care services to adolescents that meet the eligibility criteria. Prenatal Empowerment Program (PEP): Works primarily with pregnant women who are struggling with substance addiction. A case manager will do addiction assessments, assist with medical applications and applications for Substance Abuse Treatment Centers, coordinate transportation for clients to off-reservation treatment centers, and conduct outpatient group sessions utilizing the Matrix Model to promote healing. Also, provides continuing care services and DUI offender classes.

An intensive, outpatient, 12-step recovery-based center for alcohol and drugs. Services are provided by certified chemical dependency counselors including assessments (walk-in assessments available), day and evening treatment programs, adolescent programs, 12 hour DUI class, Intensive Methamphetamine Treatment (IMT) offered with state approval only, and a Recovery Maintenance Group. This office is located close to the SAM (Sioux Area Metro) Orange bus route.

Offers Medication for Addiction Treatment services for individuals with a history of Opioid, Stimulant, and Alcohol use. Our trained providers use person-centered, evidence-based and compassionate care. Medication for Addiction Treatment is the use of FDA-approved medications in combination with counseling and other therapies to provide a whole-patient approach to treatment for substance use disorders (SUD). Featuring personalized primary care, laboratory tests offering blood drawing services, prescriptions are processed through the mail or My HealtheVet, Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for Substance Abuse Disorder and outpatient addictive disorder services.

Provides non-judgmental whole patient care for individuals affected by or suffering from substance use disorder. Provides in-house services and works closely with state and community stakeholders for warm-handoffs and referrals such as counseling, primary care needs, psychiatry, food, housing, employment and financial assistance. Services can assist with various types of substance use disorders including methamphetamine, opioids, alcohol and tobacco. Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) also available. Individuals in this program will receive a dedicated care coordinator to develop customized plans to meet individual needs and be an ongoing resource and support person for the individual as they navigate recovery.

Services include daily individual and group therapy, trauma-informed care and dual diagnosis support, Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) when appropriate, relapse prevention and life skills development, recreational activities and peer support, case management and discharge planning.

CARE Club - Program for individuals with a mental health disability (i.e. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety and borderline personality) who live in the community. CARE club provides support, assistance, interaction with others and the opportunity to improve consumers existing skills and develop new coping skills. Children's Services - Provides child centered therapeutic services in the home or office. This program provides mental health services to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Works closely with child-serving agencies and programs.

Accredited substance abuse services includes Early intervention, Information and referral, Employee Assistance Program, Alcohol and drug assessments, DUI offender program, Cognitive Behavioral Intervention for Substance Abuse (CBISA), Intensive Outpatient Treatment, Day treatment, Gambling treatment, Intensive Methamphetamine Treatment (IMT), Medically-Monitored inpatient treatment, Adolescent prevention and diversion program, Adult aftercare, and Community Prevention Project - provides information and networking with individuals, groups, and other agencies.

Offers outpatient counseling services for individual, couple, and families. Staff members work with the client to provide services in the home, community, or office at the discretion of the client. Substance use evaluation, assessment, and treatment is also provided. Walk in assessments and telehealth services are available during normal business hours at the Aberdeen location. Psychiatric services are also available to those over the age of 18 including assessments and medication management.

A full continuum of mental health and treatment for substance use disorders. Services include assessments, individual and family counseling, intensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment, residential treatment for pregnant and parenting women who face substance use disorders, transitional care and aftercare counseling for adults and adolescents, trauma-focused treatment for children/adolescents and their families impacted by traumatic events. This can address a multitude of circumstances including COVID-related trauma, physical/ /sexual/emotional abuse, witness of violence, household incarceration, family substance abuse, mental illness, parent separation or divorce, medical, grief or refugee trauma, and bullying, neglect, disasters and more. ​Also offers MRT (Moral Recognition Therapy), CBISA (Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Substance Abuse), and Telehealth services.
