HIV Positive Services | City of Sioux Falls Health Department
The Ryan White Part C program helps HIV positive people who live in Eastern SD to access primary health care. All patients who apply for the Part C Program will have access to case management services. The case managers help people with HIV/AIDS find services they need such as medical care, health insurance assistance, assistance with paying for medications, financial help, food/nutrition assistance, housing, referral to substance use treatment programs and/or mental health services, transportation, and other types of services. The Part C Program is a payer of last resort. Patients that are eligible for compensation through other programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or private health insurance, must first access assistance through those programs.
Funds are available to assist with primary care, lab testing, emergency prescriptions, outpatient mental health therapy, outpatient substance abuse treatment, dental care, transportation, outpatient nutritional services, and medical and non-medical case management.
Other services include nurse case management, social work case management services, and HIV testing.

Individuals, couples, or families can receive specialized treatment for co-occurring issues of substance abuse/addictive disorders in conjunction with mental health conditions such as clinical depression, mood disorders and/or anxiety-based difficulties. Adult group programming for intensive outpatient treatment, early intervention, relapse prevention. Day and evening tracks are available for intensive outpatient treatment. Court-approved provider for chemical dependency assessments, counseling and treatment services. Adolescents can be seen for chemical dependency evaluations, individual therapy and aftercare group.
Specialized counseling services available (individual, couples, family and group therapy) for pain management-related difficulties. Dual-credentialed therapists licensed in mental health and addictions.
Telemedicine counseling services including CD assessments and individual therapy. Anyone can participate in this service.
Accredited by the State of South Dakota as well as by the Joint Commission (JCAHO).
