If MAT is determined to be an option, staff provide education about the different forms of MAT. Two forms of MAT are offered at LCBHS: Treatment with Buprenorphine Treatment with short- or long-acting Naltrexone A plan is developed with the patient's provider for the specific form of MAT treatment, level of care, and length of service based on your individual needs. Initial drug screening is required as are laboratory studies depending on history and type of MAT. Ongoing random drug testing is an integral part of treatment. Medically monitored withdrawal management is provided in a residential setting and is available if needed. There is not a set length of time for MAT. While many people may need to stay on medication indefinitely, others may choose to taper off or discontinue using MAT medications.

Detoxification Service: Couteau Des Prairies Hospital will provide emergency, acute medical detoxification services for those requiring these services. A Dakotah Pride Center staff member will provide transportation for detoxification services and a staff counselor will provide motivational counseling for clients who are undergoing detoxification to seek treatment through Dakotah Pride Treatment Center. Pre-treatment Evaluations: Provides screening, assessment, intervention, and treatment placement. Walk-in Assessments for Substance Use available. Adult Outpatient Program: Outpatient treatment services are provided for individuals who meet the admission criteria. The objectives of the program are to provide treatment for individuals who require therapeutic and supportive counseling and referral services while living independently, who may have completed inpatient treatment previously but relapsed, or for whom residential treatment is not otherwise possible. The program meets three times a week in three hour long sessions for six weeks.
