By maintaining stewardship of the historic Washington Street Arts Center, the VAAC provides a home to support artists and students, and welcome area community. The Dahl Arts Center houses four professional galleries that regularly showcase hundreds of artworks by esteemed local artists. Offers the Dahl's Artists' Market featuring goods from over 50 regional artisans, a free interactive children's art studio, and a flexible event space catering to the needs of artists, arts organizations, and private or corporate gatherings.

The Aberdeen Parks, Recreation and Forestry Department provides recreational/leisure services to the Aberdeen Community and surrounding region. This includes 12 city parks (including 3 dog parks), over 20 miles of trails, 2 softball complexes, Fossum Baseball Field Complex, Kuhnert Arboretum, 2 outdoor ice rinks and 1 indoor ice arena. Wylie Park and Storybook Land is one of the primer parks in the region. It includes 2 campgrounds, Miniature golf, go-karts, picnic facilities and bike and skate rentals. At Storybook Land families enjoy a world of imagination inspired by nursery rhymes and featuring the Land of Oz. Also enjoy a ride on the Train, Carousel, Balloon Ride and Roller Coaster. The Recreation Division provides recreational activities year round for all ages including youth ball leagues, youth & adult tennis lessons and leagues, skating lessons, open gyms, recreational skating, cross country ski lessons, and adult basketball and volleyball leagues. Many special events are offered including Family Fun Weekend, Tennis Tournaments, Storybook Land Festival, Winterfest and Holiday Celebration just to name a few. The YAPAtorium Teen Center provides many activities for teens. Other facilities include: Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center (ARCC) where programming in the visual arts, dance, music, and theatre occur for all ages. Other areas at the ARCC include the Civic Arena, Civic Theatre, and the ARCC Gallery. The Aberdeen Aquatic Center provides entertainment for the whole family with the lap pool, diving boards, leisure pool with multilevel play structure, 3 waterslides, and the Lazy River. Other activities include swimming lessons, water walking and adult water exercise. The Strode Center and Aberdeen Dome are facilities available for public use and provides a weight room. These facilities can be used for a daily fee, a 10 use punch card, or with a monthly membership. Lee Park Golf Course is an 18 hole public course which provides lessons and leagues. Melgaard Park Disc Golf Course is a 9 hole public course. Aberdeen Senior Center provides many programs and activities for people over 50 years of age

Offers Arts Night at the Pub, showcasing visual artists, songwriters, literary artists or other creatives in a family-friendly setting. The ArtTalk is also available on the Northern Prairie Arts - Watertown Arts Council Facebook page.

Provides numerous educational and cultural experiences for youth and adults that include preservation of the historic G.A.R. Hall and the following arts enrichment programming: monthly gallery exhibits and lectures (free and open to the public); youth / adult art classes and programs including: kids studio, kids art camp, and artist unleashed; annual kids art fest; artists in residencies; annual summer concert series (12 concerts); annual high school art scholarships and educator scholarships; annual summer arts festival, and volunteer opportunities.

Bringing visual arts to children and adults through exhibitions, education and collections. Eight art galleries, including Everist Gallery, feature changing exhibitions, Raven Children's Art Studio, and Permanent Collection features works by regional artists, such as Oscar Howe, Robert Aldern and Signe Stuart, and international artists, including Rembrandt and Renior.
