The Edmunds County Flood Plain Authority is the county/city limit line. This allows allows the user to view, understand, question, interpret, and visualize data in many ways that reveal relationships, patterns, and trends in the form of maps, globes, reports, and charts. A property owner can build in a flood plain, but will need to complete a Floodplain Development Permit Application, to include a flood proof plan. The property can also be built up with fill and the soil compacted to rise above the flood plain. Assists with any drainage needs. The Drainage Ordinance is intended to provide the basic guidance needed by the county drainage commission in carrying out drainage responsibilities.
