Qualified families who are accepted into this program have access to housing at the National Home in a single family home for up to four years, a case worker to set goals and make plans for the future, educational, recreational, and enrichment opportunities, community resources and counseling referrals are provided as needed, and state-certified daycare services are provided free of charge for children five and under.

The American Red Cross works in partnership with Military Aid Societies to provide financial assistance to eligible applicants. Assistance can include funds for emergency travel, burial of a loved one, emergency food and shelter, etc. The Aid Societies determine the financial assistance package that will be offered through a grant or a loan.

The purpose of the hotline is two-fold - To offer wounded, injured, or ill Soldiers and their Families a way to share concerns on the quality of patient care. To provide senior Army leaders with visibility on medically-related issues so they can properly allocate resources to better serve Soldiers and Families. The hotline is an avenue to gather information about medical care as well as suggest ways we can improve our medical support systems. Staff members are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Legions can answer questions about flag etiquette and go to schools and organizations to perform raising and folding of the flag demonstrations. Also, has information about Blue Star Flag Program where families with deployed military service men or women would hang the Blue Star Flag in their window.

The Alliance consists of three key allies: veterans, active military service members, and the at-large community. The Alliance includes veterans, active military service members and their families, civilians, elected officials, business leaders and other key individuals and resources from our communities in South Dakota. Services/Events include: Patriot Grill (discounted $6.00 lunch specials daily), Club Lobo, gun range/armory, event center, meetings/conventions, mental and physical health, and veteran service organizations. Also, has a receptacle for proper disposal of US flags in the parking lot, near the front door.

Provides assistance after a personal or small-scale catastrophic events such as fire, flooding, and storm damage. Rapid assistance is deployed when evacuation is required ahead of an arriving storm or ordered due to a critical incident event. Post disaster services are also available for recovery of food, uniforms and family needs, temporary lodging, and insurance deductibles.

Employment Assistance - Career planning, development of jobs search skills, interviewing, networking, and resume assistance. Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) - Provides information and referrals to local resources for Air Force Families with an exceptional family member (whether medical, emotional, physical or educational). Military and Family Life Counselor Program - Masters or doctorate-level licensed counselors provide short term, non-medical counseling services to service members and their families at no-cost (anger management, communication, relationship issues, conflict resolution, parenting, decision making skills, deployment stress, coping skills, homesickness, relocation adjustment, reintegration, separation, sadness, grief and loss). Personal Financial Management - Provides counseling and education with budget and savings management. This can be done in a one-to-one financial counseling setting or in a class. In conjunction with the American Center for Credit Education, provides classes such as Credit when Credit is Due, Money In Motion, and Home Buying classes for financial education. Readiness program - Assists military members and their families to prepare and go through deployments, TDY's, and remote tours. The Readiness program offers assistance with pre-deployment counseling, preparing practical aspects of separations, providing support to families, and offering reunion support.

Air Force Aid Society (AFAS) emergency assistance provides interest-free loans or grants to help stabilize a member's emergency financial situation based on the individuals needs such as: basic living expenses, vehicle expenses, funeral expenses, medical/dental, pet emergency surgery or treatment child care/respite, moving expenses, and miscellaneous expenses. Additionally, AFAS offers to active duty Air Force members only Falcon Loans of $500.00 or less that can be used for emergency needs such as basic living expenses, car repairs, or other approved needs. The streamlined application process for a Falcon Loan requires no budget information, or backup documentation. EMERGENCY TRAVEL - All emergency travel financial assistance required due to serious illness/death of an immediate family member, grandparent or other family relationship will be processed through the American Red Cross (ARC).
