Evaluations for dyslexia are provided for students up to age 21 whose parents and or educators are concerned regarding their child's ability to read, spell, and write. Dyslexia evaluations are not provided for those children whose learning difficulty is solely because of low cognition, attention problems, emotional/behavioral problems, autism, or hearing or vision impairment.

Shares information about dyslexia and offers specialized reading and spelling lessons for children and adults, in-person or remote. Also, Training for Parents provides parents (within a 60-minute radius of Rapid City) with a monthly membership, which gains access to articles, books, and DVDs on the topic of dyslexia, training in the Barton Reading and Spelling System, and materials needed to tutor their own children in reading and spelling.

Home/Community Based Developmental Disabilities Programs
Provides one on one tutoring for reading and spelling. Lindamood Bell Programs and others are employed by highly trained tutors to strengthen reading skills, remediate dyslexia, Specific Learning Disability, and other academic challenges. These services are appropriate for ages 6 - 18. Scholarship funding may be available to assist in covering the cost associated with services.
